Hello, a long time ago, more than 7 years go, I went to a homecoming party with this girl. I did not know her that well back then. After the party I lost contact with her. We live far from each other now. My question is, how should I approach her on Facebook? I was thinking about sending a message to her before adding her. Something like: 1) "Hey! Are you the girl I took to the homecoming party long time ago?" Or maybe: 2) "Hi there! I went to a homecoming party with you before. Do you still remember?" How does that sound to you guys? Which option is better? Or do they both suck? Thanks a lot! |

You live far from each other? Why bother then? Long gone facebook friends are the wrong place to look for flirting. Assuming you're just trying to reconnect cause she was especially nice or gave good fashion advice or something (Again, why??) then I would go with something like the first one. If you know who she is, but she doesn't know who you are, you have no power in the interaction (I have had this happen to me in person and it was ugly. Worst DLV of my life) Maybe give a reason you're friending her? She'll be thinking "Yeah I am, what do you want from me?" |
