| Post subject: | Peacocking -do's and don'ts. |
I have come up with a simple list of some of the do's and don'ts of Peacock theory. The idea of peacocking is to get noticed for the right reasons. Anyone can get noticed in a club but its getting noticed in a good way that matters- you run the risk of social suicide by getting it wrong. Do... Wear bling- girls love a bit of bling in moderation. It makes you stand out, its quirkey and provided it doesn't look tacky its all good. Don't go out looking like a 50 cent cos that's way too much so keep it moderate. If you are too rock and roll for that wear studded bracelets and a studded belt (again don't go crazy) Wear bright coloured t-shirts/poloshirts and jumpers- bright colours are good and do get you noticed but be careful not to clash them. If you go out looking like Joseph and his technicoloured dream coat- you won't get your dream girl. And if your friends are good ones they will insist you go home and get changed. Wear gentleman's accessories such as an untied self tie bowtie or a gentleman's scarf when you are going out looking a little more dapper than normal why not add a pocket square to your blazer- a touch of traditional class to demonstrate value. Keep up to date with current trends Look in GQ and see what the guys are wearing. Lets be honest most of us don't have a spare £400 to spend on D&G boat shoes, but there are plenty of high st stores that offer similar styles for a fraction of the price. Pick a style celeb role model - I picked Mark Ronson. It doesn't mean that I look at what he's wearing and go out and buy the outfit but it makes for a good guide and a step in the right direction. Wear nice underpants - If you do get lucky in the club when she takes down your jeans how stupid are you gonna look and feel when she is laughing at your union jack or stars and stripes themed boxer shorts? Get a nice pair of Calvin Kleins or something. Mix up your bottoms- Everyone wears blue jeans so stick on a pair of chino's or white/black jeans every now and then. Be weary of dress codes - Not gonna have much game if you can't even get past the boys in black at the front door. Don'ts.... Wear sunglasses in a club Its not sunny in the club- you don't need them and you will just look like a dick. Wear huge logo plain designer tshirts- Its a very clever marketing ploy by big fashion designers because they know there are goons out there dumb enough to pay an arm and a leg for them and think they look cool. The idea is to look like a model for Emporio Armani, not an advertisement for them! All big logo's state 'I can afford fashion, but I don't have a clue about style.' Designer clothes are great but keep it subtle. A real pet hate of mine. Wear cowboy hats - I know our buddies in Canada and the USA will not like this and maybe it is acceptable there... and yes I am aware some of the masters go out sporting cowboy hats but in the UK its a definite NO. Wear full formal business suits out to the club - Only the owner and managers should wear suits in the club and thats because they are at work. They don't dress like that in their free time so neither should you. Plus you'll get a good suit ruined with drink spillages and possible cigarette burns. Wear combat trousers - No need to explain why just don't action man. Wear overly baggy clothes - Remember when you tried on your dad's t-shirt and jacket when you were 10?? You don't wanna look like that when you go out 10 or 20 years later do you? N.B. I did conduct a small survey from females on this so it isn't all my own doing. |

I like your post quite a lot, I'd like some more opinions on it:D Quote: Wear nice underpants
Now I have to get my 2 cents in on this one......Unless you are going for a late night swim or something like that, you will have to get out of your pants for the girl to actually be able to see your underpants. And if you are that far, you should already have it in the bag. Unless ofcourse you could screw up horribly by wearing women's underwear, a rotten banana peel, a rotten animal cadaver or something other gross/highly inappropriate. I don't spent much money on underwear, no fancy designer stuff for me, in fact I buy my underwear in bulk:p Besides, if I am going to parade around with a man's name just above my ass crack, it's going to be my own;) |

just adding on everyone has their own fashion sense so find something that works and stick to it. mixing it up often will also be cool after you build some success. this is why keeping up with a celebrity that has a similar fashion sense is good advice. just wondering, clubs and sports coats, yay or nay. cos you can get some really good stylish sports coats out there |

I am a firm believer in very extremely bare bones/subtle peackocking. I wear an old skeleton key around my neck. Most people don't notice it for a while, but when a girl grabs it and asks "is this the key to my/your heart" and I reply with "why don't we try it out and see" it's golden... it's all about "Covert peackocking" in my opinion... but I play a very Covert/Stealthy game |

@ guesss Its a 'yay', I would say so considering I own one and it features when I go out quite often. I wear mine with a paisley patterned pocket square to add a little interesting contrast and so long as you don't wear it with a flat cap/dear stalker, wellington boots or anything else that will make you look like a country game hunter rather than a female hunter with game, sports jackets are a winner! @Olivier- Its more for less confident guys who might not be comfortable with women laughing at their (under)pants. Its highly unlikely they will flop because of it but sticking to neutral colours is always a safe bet in my opinion. I have pretty garish psychedelic and leopard print boxers (xmas presents) but I wouldn't wear them when going out to pull women personally. @Lush PUA I agree subtle jewellery is good because girls are intrigued by it. I have a ring embossed with Pictish runes (an ancient Scottish language and writing system) and when I have been talking to a girl or dating her she will all of a sudden notice it and say 'what does that say on your ring?' I keep them guessing |

HA HA HA!!! I loved that line! As for OP, I completely agree. Anything too overdone makes you look like you are trying too hard to stand out. I especially liked your advice on looking to a specific celebrity for pointers. I will have to look more closely at the ones I have been told I look like to see if any of those fit, style wise |

hey Hootsman, thanks for your contribution! I have to admit, peacock is not my thing. But if it works for you, no problem The list you mentioned, those are nice, good for dhv, but i think it is even not extraordinary enough to be a peacock. My friend, a pua who uses peacock in his game: - walks around during the day with a pink helmet; - black, style glasses; - special necklace |
