Lately, but without trying to abuse this opener, I have been approaching and opening with a short on the 6 degrees of separation. This technique works well in a place where you make regular appearances or if you are simply a social butterfly(a combination of the two is also a plus). Upon entrance, make sure you approach the groups and people you already know. Being well known is always good for this opener. Approach a few groups near your target and work your charm but don't let them overhear because no one likes spoilers! Choose your moment and APPROACH! Me: You've heard of the 6 degrees of separation? Target Group General Response: 'No' or 'I think so' Me: 'It's a social theory that states everyone in the world knows everyone else in the world if they go through 6 people(at this, the group usually realizes that they have heard of it at least once before)'. I then continue on with the explanation. 'Basically, you know a tribal native of Africa through 6 people. Also (inserting your own case) Did you know that you know Obama through 2 degrees!?' Then explain how they know them through you and one other person (qualifier). Then ask the group what their claim to fame is through a few degrees of separation. With appropriate body language or even dumb luck, the target will be dying to tell their story and when that happens, use appropriate negs, dhvs, and disqualifiers to win the group's approval and her desire to unload her attention onto you. You now have won the group and should be free to take her away without threatening them. If the group seems very social and opens right up, I like to throw in another question about if they think it possible to bring the 6 degrees of separation down to 5. Works well on social groups because social people strive to be more social(works well with number closing because you've qualified a number exchange to help bring the 6 degrees down to 5!). I have field tested this with great results, but would like to know how it works with everyone else. This usually leads to number closes and even got me into her hotel room once. awesome post fetty, keen to field test it. anthonypham, a HB 8+ is going to be approached by guys the entire night, you're opener seems really generic. unless you know how to handle the situation if you get shot down by the set, or you're a pretty good alpha, then its not going to work. |

yeah, that's mystery method at work there. you dont have to follow that social pattern though. you could always disqualify yourself by adding a subtle neg in their somewhere. like theres something on her face, or hello, i'm talking, if she doesnt seem to be paying attention.
