SO I noticed this cute girl that works in a local mall. The store she works in happens to sell all sorts of cool shit, including really nice candles. I was wondering how to open with her? I was sort of thinking along the lines of: (Please feel free to adjust) Me- If we were going on a date/ dating what candle would you like the most? Her - (Has a BF and shoots me down or continues) Well I like ____ Thats my problem i have, getting to that next step. Should I flip things over on her and say something like, "oh so you're saying you want to go on a date with me?" What should I do? Thanks B24 |

Hey Biggie. I've been in that exact situation as you (except the cute girl was the store manager of a candle store). What I did that worked for me was immediately assume familiarity (as if she's your long lost friend) and use some cocky funny comedy. My conversation went like this -Me: Hey there "HER NAME." How have you been?! -Her: Pretty good. What about you? -Me: Amazing.. you didn't know that? -Her: Haha.. now I do. -Me: Hey "HER NAME" I really need your help with something. It's like a life or death situation (jokingly). If you went on a romantic date and you wanted to set the mood, which aroma or candle would you be smelling (or something like that) -Her: (She shows me the different candles and lets me smell them) -Me: Wow your good at this! It's like you do this for a living or something (very sarcastically and jokingly, noting the very obvious) Is that the one your boyfriend gets you? (this will find out if she does or doesn't have a BF) ....... A few days later I came back Me- Hey wassup "HER NAME." You up to trouble again? (Cocky funny) Then i continued to do the same type of stuff until she is comfortable talking about her personal life and begins asking me questions. (She even offered me a job there) I hope this gives you an idea. Just keep in mind to assume familiar and use her name alot (this personalizes the conversation more). |

i cant stand the smell walking into those types of stores, instant headache let alone having to smell that shit all day probley get some mad babes walking in and out though |

I wouldn't invest sooo much time on one girl. Just go direct. If she blows you out, just move on. The more time and energy you invest on her, the more you overthink things and the worse you feel if she rejects you. You: Which scent of candle is the most popular nowadays? Her: Blah blah You: Thanks. By the way, you are just (pause) really (pause) darn (pause) cute (pause). [tonality and delivery is critical. Practice it first] I'm . . . What's your name? (shake her hand) Her: blah blah Buy the candle she recommends and leave. You can always return the candle when she's not working. I wouldn't until I get her number. Next time you come back, you have her name and you can qualify her during a conversation or do cocky funny as mentioned in previous posts to number close. |

Went in and was just myself, had this cute little blode hanging on my every word. Unfortunatly couldn't number close on her or really even get her name due to being out of time and needing to be somewhere. I will go back in and I WILL get this cuties number. |
