I posted in the general forum, but didn't seem to get any answers. So I have gotten my haircut twice by the same girl. The first time we met i was completely out of it and not making great conversation. The second time we talked about what we were doing for Christmas. She didn't mention having a boyfriend, and she said she was cooking for her entire family. I asked her if she was working on Friday (Christmas Eve). She said, "No, why what do you have in mind." I said, "Oh, I was just curious." Now, was she basically giving me the invite to ask her out? Am I reading too far into it? How do I go about asking her for her number? I don't want to put her in an awkward situation if she isn't interested, and I actually really do like how she cuts my hair, so it would suck to lose a good haircut. How should I go about getting her number, and was her "why, waht do you have in mind" comment basically saying "do you want to fuck on friday." Thanks |

I have a policy on this:If im almost sure to see a specific girl again(hairdresser, grocer, bartender at my favorite bar, teacher, etc.),I will not go for a # close prematurely. If it's a random chicc you'd met at a bus stop and you're not sure to see again- get the #. But dont push it with your hairdresser after just 2 ok convos. If the convos were awesome-go for the # close rapidly. If the convos were so-so decent/cordial,a premature # close attempt will go south. Wait until you really hit it off good with her(via convo)to try # close. You're still not sure if she's into you,so that's why you asked if you're reading too much into this. Yes you are. She was just being cordial & polite as would with any other customer. Until you have some attractive convos under your belt with her-she'll reject you. So leave the # closing for later meetings. Work on her there on the spot. Have you flirted with her yet? Has she flirted with you? Do you banter with her and get all playful with her? I doubt it. |

I think her response (no, why what do you have in mind) was more than a standard response to my question. Am I the only one who feels that way? |

Right about that. But what have you done about it? I just dont think you built any attraction for this chicc to be into you solidly. If I were you,I'd still be cautious since you yourself are questioning things. Just build more attraction via short stories,etc.. It can only better your chances, not hurt them. |

??? Any help would be appreciated. Was she definitely telling me to ask her out with that question??? I'm sorry, I am just getting my haircut soon, and I want to know how to act. |

I tried flirting with the hairdresser but I really don't want her to be so nervous she messes my hair up...so make sure your just getting a shampoo or something if your going to make her nervous lol |

Be calm. Be collected. Just remain playful and banter a bit with her. Discuss something which she has an opinion on,like hair trends or colouring or whatever crap hairdressers eat into. And the guy above is right,DO NOT ask for her number till you've got a fairly decent amount of flirtation going between you both. Word for the wise, do it at the time your haircut is just about finished. Less damage,y'know if things go down south. Cheers. |
