| Post subject: | Should You ever Open if you don't plan on Closing |
When doing direct day game should you ever open if you don't plan on setting up a day 2 or number closing? What about girls that you will see everyday? I've noticed that their attraction seems to decrease when I try to talk to them on days other than the day I approached. |

The game is an art... You can't plan on a certain close, you just have to get a feel for it. Conversation is not cut and dry, rather its very dynamic. Thats why you should always open a set because you never know how its going to go. So my advice is open a set no matter what your plans are as far as closing. At least you will get experience. Dont always talk to those girls. They will start to expect it and lose interest. Talk to some random girls instead then a few days later move back to the originals. |

Personally, when i dont go into a set willing to close, just to talk and try things, it doesnt go as well as when i want something(kiss and number). its like approaching without a goal. |

I say yes. Even though you have no desire to close that person, you can still enjoy the interaction... and you never know what might happen (heck that might be the personal assistant of Jesica Alba, or a really interesting girl.. who knows!) Futhermore (and mostly the point I wanted to make) if you only open what you really want to close you become dependent on the outcome; you pressure yourself when you open to make the close. That might eventually lead to you not opening much because you feel pressure to close or that you might fear you will not close so you won't open just to avoid failiure. Again, that all depends where your game is, but these would apply more to less experienced people. IF there is someone you are genuinly intersted in, go for that one. In these cases, don't waste time with someone you woudn't close. However, if there are none in the "i want to close" category right now, might as well be social and go talk to people. That's how I see it. |

Usually when I open a set it's mainly for my entertainment, to pass time or just to get to know someone better. I do not feel as if I need to close in any sort of way, which helps out not having that pressure. Alternatively some people DO like have set goals and will feel motivated to actually get a close with a girl when they open sets. Just find out which of the two you are and enjoy yourself. The fact that you even opened a set is a step in the right direction. |
