Post subject:  New opener - Robot or Alien?
Okay I actually got this opener from the show Heroes, haha. Not too sure how this will play out on the field if a lot of people watch that show... I haven't field tested it either, so I'll get back to you on this. Anyone is free to criticize or improve upon this.

PUA: So what are you?
HB: What?
PUA: Are you a robot ...(pause) or an alien? Because everyone is one or the other. Robots do what they are told, stick with the herd. Aliens, on the other hand, do their own thing.

Now if they choose either, come up with a playful neg response.
Option 1 (Robot): Aww you're no fun... I thought you were [adventurous,energetic,etc.]!

Option 2 (Alien): You sure do look odd for an alien (then give whatever physical neg you want here).

From here, go into whatever routine you have and have fun!

I like it too. It's just that so many people have seen heroes I'd assume most people will have heard or seen it already.

ROFL I just saw that episode 5 min ago, and I was thinking about a cold reading routine.



It could work as an opener but I think it will be better as a cold reading routine.

The bad thing as Yenwen said is that heroes is a mainstream show and a lot of people might notice it out...

i don't think it matters that they know thats from heroes...

If they say wait a sec thats from ehroes right ??

ok i saw this too and was thinking that was a terrible opener but on the show she totally is digging that weird guy. i swear... thats got to be the dumbest thing ever to ask haha

So if I get a laugh from the girl, that's even better!
I think this really works because it negs the girl by saying she's not adventurous enough for me.
