First off, in what situations do you shake hands with your target and in what situations do you not? I would think that opening a set by shaking everyone's hand is reasonable, but it might not be a good idea to approach a target who is alone and introduce yourself with a handshake. Second, when you do open a set with handshakes, who should you dominate and who should you not dominate. Should you dominate your target? Should you disarm an AMOG if they try to dominate you, or should you be submissive? If you give a submissive handshake, does only the other recognize this, or would a whole set notice it? |

Out side of business settings and being introduce to someone by someone else, you have to be the judge of that. Giving a weak handshake is a no no. Saying that don't try to be the more dominate one. Just give a solid hand shake really. There is no reason here to be the more dominate one in the hand shake.

^ True. Personally, I think the smaller the set, the more appropriate the handshake--even if the girl's by herself. It starts kino, lets you read her handshake (how strong, EC, how long til she lets go, etc.), and possibly gives you a chance to make fun of her. I think I'll try to cheek kiss instead from now on. Unfortunately, I live in a tremendously prudish area, so that could be loads of fun and a means for preselection. |

I meant how you might shake their hand, not the strength of the handshake. A submissive handshake is done with your palm up while a dominating handshake is done with your palm down. Studies have shown that superiors tend use a dominating handshake; although it is almost always done intuitively. |

I think that covers the physical position of the hands. But if you worried about it put your hand out so that your palm is basically upright and not facing up or down. Other words neutral.
