So, I just thought of this one, dunno if someone has come up with this before (almost sure, though) You approach, with your hands in your pocket and ask: What up, guys? So, I need a female opinion on something. What would you think of a guy that polishes his nails black? You'd think he's crazy or something? Girl1: I would think he's a goth or something. Girl2: I'd think he's crazy. Girl3: Dunno, just looks odd. You then take your hands out of your pockets, showing your polished nails and ask them, in a playful manner, smiling: You: And why would you think that? They'll be either smiling or surprised. If they're not, something is wrong. Get into your routine asking about their nail polish brand or which nail polish color they think bests suits you. You could then start talking about looks and how must be their personality based on that. Define who in the group is the leader, etc. Then ask the classic: "How do you guys know each other?". I think this is pretty much it. Improvements on this will be appreciated. |

I think the female opinion opener is crazy! I mean that stuff is that old no one will react on this one unless she lives on the moon. |

Personally, I feel who ever has to stick with opinion openers has some serious issues. Reality is you can open with pretty much anything. Is all about confidence. Women say it best. They want guys with confidence. |

If you like that shit I guess it can do wonders. Personally I feel a little to masculine to polish my nails. No offence. Edit: Peacocking does work though I found out, me and a friend of mine wear these 3D glasses we got at the cinema when we're out. They do wonders haha. GL with the black nails |

The only thing that could possibly be considered sexy about a man that paints his nails black is that he comes off as a "rebel" and doesn't care what other people think of him... Going up to a group of girls to ask for their opinion though defeats this image altogether. I had a conversation just like this with a guy... he was gay. I don't recommend this !Quote: I totally thought about the polished nails after seeing a picture of Mystery.
But can you imagine Mystery going up to a group of girls and asking: "Hey ladies! What do you think about this new nail polish I just bought!?" ... Because I just can't seem to.What you guys often forget is that it's not about getting them to talk. It's about creating attraction... I'm sorry, but I just don't see sparks flying with an opener like this... Good effort though, I think you're getting the big picture ... but maybe try going for something less feminine. -Roz |

Well, besides the part of questioning brands, Mystery asked about his nails already:The moment we walked into the Key Club, Mystery put the three-second rule into action. Striding up to a group of women, he held out his hands and asked, "What's your first impression of these? Not the big hands, the black nails." This from "The Game" by Style. |

It's not designed to. Sure, it's designed to be fun and appear spontaneous, but the power of this gambit comes from what it doesn't do. Unlike a typical direct opener, no IOIs are conveyed to the target." What I'm trying to do is look like I'm not interested in more than opinion and follow Mystery's game, which is make her fall for you (not literally you) by giving the set DHV's while negging or even giving IOD's to the target. You have something against polished nails, don't you? |

Hey, great insight- see, I didn't know this! And yeah, I guess it's a great opener to use to disarm the target, and keep her from thinking you're there to pick her up. You've actually convinced me to suggest you try this one out; after all, you have nothing to lose. But make sure it fits your style- just because it's something that Mystery uses, it doesn't mean it will necessarily work for everyone. Great job defending this opener, btw ! Man, I guess so... -Roz |
