I came to a conclusion after a few months of approaches and deep thought. Indirect game works best when the approach is expected, and direct game works best when the approach is unexpected. The way I see it, if you are at a bar or night club, girls expect for guys to holla. Guys go direct with the old ,"hey beautiful, you looking good tonight." or "I just wanna talk to you". They'll be given the token thanks, but no thanks. On the other hand, if a guy goes indirect with something simple like, "hey, sorry to bother you but do you mind taking a picture of me and my friend?" That line immediately disarms her and she will be much more open to chatting with you. Now in the day time, lets say at a park, if you walk up to a girl and use a 'whats the time' opener, she will most likely give you the time and expect you to go away. But then you try to prolong the conversation by giving her informations she probably doesn't want to know, and it'll have her wondering what you want. On the other hand, if you came up to her and said," hey do you have the time? actually never mind, i just needed an excuse to come talk to you.
" She will be so refreshed by such an approach because it was so UNEXPECTED. The element of surprise is what makes direct approaches so deadly. If there is no surprise, the girl will open cold or not at all if you go direct. Of course there are exceptions to the rule. Think of house parties. People hook up at house parties all the time, mostly because there's a sense of comfort by having your friends' friends there. In this instance do you go direct or indirect? Its as I said before, people hook up all the time. Meaning its generally expected for guys to try and hit on the girls there. The way I do it now is I think to myself,"Will she see it coming?" If the answer is yes, indirect. If its no, then I go direct. Thoughts?
