This little routine is pretty situational, but the situation is common. Mark my words: if you are entering the field, you will get the "you look like" opener from girls How I Made the Routine I was at a party in LA. There were a lot of people there, and a lot of HBs but one that I had my eye on and so did everyone else. She was a smoking hot latina HB9. She had many friends around her. At that point, they were all dancing so my friends and I just included ourselves without intruding on any space. When it was over I asked the group why they weren't still dancing and we were. One of the girls said I looked like some random folk singer whose name I don't recall. I guess it was the "dirty beard" look. I asked her friends and mine if they knew who this guy was as I looked up a picture of the man on my Droid. Turns out it was an ugly old guy with a dirty beard. I looked offended while showing the girls (except the HB9) the pic as they laughed and looked at me observantly. Now that my HB9 seemed interested, I showed her and asked if she agreed with her friends. She looked at me hard for a second and said just the beard. Then I turned to her friends and said "see. She doesn't think so. And neither do I.. I would like to think that I'm much better looking than this guy (this could be more cocky funny if it's like Justin Timberlake or something)." Then they started drawing more comparisons from other actors and singers. With every call I gave them a disappointed reaction so they would continue to observe and compare me to people they're are attracted to. This made it easy to transition into some great group conversations and other things I won't discuss in this thread. Have your cell phone easily set up for this kind of encounter so you're not waiting in silence for a picture to come up. Sometimes your phone will stall. Mobile internet has not met it's practical abilities yet so try to keep the conversation going by saying other people others have said you look alike. Try to choose someone that they will get a laugh out of. I realize that this won't work for everyone. But I don't believe you actually have to look like an actor or a singer to be engaged into this kind of encounter. One of the oldest openers in the game for women is "has anyone ever told you you look like Brad Pitt?" So if you get this in the field, here is an option for you. Love, Tech P.S. Some clever suggestions from my fellow puas would be quite awesome!! |

I guess the way you could use this in almost any situation is to just say "Excuse me - my friend here says I look like (whoever) - what do you think?" etc Sounds pretty good though - the other night I randomly had one person say I look like Justin Bieber (piss off!) and a guy say I look like Jamie Cullum - no idea where either of those come from though - |
