| Post subject: | Trying to Get a Friend |
Hey Fellas, So here's my situation. It's a long post, but please read it. I really need some help. I've known this girl from college and we've had our moments, but I never had the courage to take the relationship to a further level since I was a bigger guy then. A few years ago, I used to weigh 240 pounds, now I'm 25 years old, 175, lean, and more confident. Our history goes back to when we met in 2003, when she was a freshman and I was a Junior. We had chemistry, but since I was overweight then, I didn't have much confidence. But she liked me and I never acted on it. So we danced around each other through the years and nothing happened. The attraction was there, but still, I did nothing. She went home one summer and I ended up staying since I had work for the summer in the area. My goal over the summer was to exercise and eat healthy, and shed some weight. I ended up losing quite a bit of weight and people started to notice. This boosted my confidence. My friends and I went out to the bars frequently and I was actually getting attention from girls. This happened through the entire summer, and I never really called or made contact with her. School was about to start and she came back and saw me. She was shocked (a good shock) at my transformation. I could tell that we still had that little spark. During the first week of school, there are always parties going off. We met at a few parties and one night the sexual tension was so intense that it all erupted and we started to make out. Just to let you know, she made the move and closed in on me. It got pretty heated and it was great! So now, we have finally made our connection. I thought that all would be great, but I ended up finding out that she had a boyfriend, over the summer and she was still with him. Turns out that he was going to move in with her too. Needless to say that I was completely shattered. We ended up fading apart, but whenever we saw each other at parties, or whatever, we still had a great deal of tension between us. We kept our relationship cool, since we both had the same friends. I try to lead a drama free life. Now, she has graduated and has moved back to her hometown. She calls me from time to time and we talk and chat. I think she's still with this guy, but she never mentions him. I ended up leaving the area and moved back closer to home. I am in the Long Beach Area now, and it turns out, that she is only 30 minutes away from where I live. We haven't seen each other for almost 6 months now. We've been trying to set up meeting dates, but we both have very busy lives at the moment and we can never seem to come up with a day or time that is good for the both of us. Seems that she is interested in meeting up, but it's just difficult. So now I'm stuck. I don't know where to go from here. Should I even try to pursue this anymore, or is this just a dead end. It may seem like I have one-itis, but I'm far from it. I have met and gone on dates with several girls in the past 2 months that I have been in Long Beach. Any takers on helping me out? |
