I'm so weirded out by the whole thing. Confused as heck. Context: Out at a bar/lounge in Manhattan and I see a 5-set (2 guys and 3 cute girls). Ignore the girls, I told myself. I approach one of the guys from a slight angle, holding my drink low at my waist, and smiled, "Hey, I'm Magnet - what's up?" Guy: "Hey! I'm AMOG!" [shakes my hand] [turns to ladies] "Hey HB7, meet Magnet!" [nudges me at her] Me: [shakes her hand, smiles, opens mouth to talk but AMOG interrupts] AMOG: "Hey HB8, meet MagnetLS!" [nudges me again, this time at HB8] Me: [shakes her hand, smiles] "Hey, I'm Magnet" HB8: [Leans in, squints her eyes, as if trying to remember where she had seen me before] Me: [Confused - never seen this girl before, I swear] HB8: "You know, you have a nice voice. Sing something for me." Me: [What the hell? Major shit test?] "Whoa, buy me a drink before you hit on me like that, hahaha" HB8: [Giggles] I'm not hitting on you! Really! I made some small talk with her, occasionally throwing in a tease like "dork" or "Oh geez, you're so silly but I'm totally cool with it". She gave me no IOIs whatsoever. Feet were not turned towards me when talking, nor she was touching herself or whatever. She kept smiling at me, but it was a distant/disinterested smile. I don't know what happened there. Any takes? Thanks, guys... |

hmmm all i can think of is that the AMOG showed more value then you hence she wasnt attracted to you... its a hard one to comment on because i wasnt there so i couldnt hear voice tonality nor see everyones body language... but yeh sorry brother :S |

HB8: "You know, you have a nice voice. Sing something for me." GIANT HOOP but also an IOI. Sounds like you did the right thing but w/o being there its tuff... Sounds more like the AMOG was the prob. Maybe asking him to sing could of worked  Maybe telling her you only sing for an audience of one and trying to isolate would of worked?
