Alright guys, I can't keep this a secret any longer... recently I accidentally invented a peacocking method (similar to lock-in prop) that generally makes opening much easier (in terms of kino, acceptance in-set and hooking much quicker). So here's the story: A chick friend I met ages ago (day game), who I've stayed in touch with through texting, messages me saying she's finally going to a place in the city I had recommended to her. However since we met such a long time ago, and probably don't remember what each other look like, I said I would wear a name-tag so she'd find me. So later that night when going to the place, I brought along stickers and my friend and I slapped on name-tags. Turns out the chick friend didn't end up going to the place, but at one point some girls wanted us to give them their own name-tags. Suddenly a light-bulb appeared over my head, and the rest of the night involved opening girls (and some guys) by asking if they wanted a name-tag, to which they usually complied (enthusiastically). Not only that, but some would point and us, say our names loudly and give high-fives (once again both guys and girls - so social proof was always happening if sets with girls weren't being opened). I did this again when I went out last night, and once again it worked wonders. Even on some HB9s and 10s. Keep in mind you still need to follow-up strongly after the opener though, otherwise you'll slap on the tags and hover around awkwardly or they'll leave straight away. But usually we managed to engage them in chit-chat for a little while. So yeah, this is something I recommend everyone try at some point... very simple, yet potentially very effective. Some people did ask "Why are you doing this?", and my response was either "Why not?" or something like "I think everyone should know each other, we're one big global community". |

Love the Idea, best way to figure out where to go from there would be to try it. Tho I am wondering what kinda environment this is in, I could see it working well in a loud club environment/pub really just a simple ice breaker and could drop down some funny names or just your own! Idea: go around asking for they're super hero/villan name or stripper name etc... they might not want their name out for every creep to see but anything fun! especially if your out in a larger group. Would love to see this played out and any ideas posted here, where would you go from the opener/tested method to break the ice to spread the name tags around. I am always loooking for ways to up my club game, and blow off the whole pre text of pick up(avoid the defenses) anyone have experience with playing something simliar to the bf card like wow my gf would be so jealous if she could see where my hands just were! woa promis not to tell? |

Great idea Chris  Have you succeeded with any closes from this tactic? Or do you think it mainly helps with social proofing yourself in the venue you are in? A similar thing I have seen done before when i was out once was a guy had fake mostaches that he was giving out. People were very excited to get them and they looked very funny, girls loved it. This would also be a great way to open a large number of girls in one night. Thanks for sharing, wowo |
