Hi,

Subway (not the fast food) is definately a place where I encounter loads of beautiful girls, but i never come up with a valuable opener. Direct seems misplaced, indirect is creepy, everyone is hearing what you say, and approaching is physically difficult...

any thoughts / advices about this?

I don't have one for the subway itself, but I have one for anyone who goes into a Subway with a hot chica working," SO how good of a Sandwich Artist are you?"
She'll reply....THe best, good, blah blah blah
You: "we'll see"
This sets a playful tone as soon as you walk in and say this with a smile...........
It has worked three times for me, just opening and stacking, then when you number close you leave with your sub and TEXT: So-so :-)

Auree !!

I know what you mean. Trains, buses, subways, all full of hot girls. The one I use is the predictable: "Excuse me, have you seen ____ bus?"

Or "Are the ____ train running ok?. If I miss it, I'd be late for ___. X will kill me!'

My main problem with sarging on buses, trains and subways is this: Others will be eavesdropping. What shall I do? If there isn't an audience, I'm fine.

How do you sarge when there are others hanging around and listening in?

Are you a tourist?!
Say that in a Break Rapport tonality and then explain the cold read of why she looks like a tourist. ie, she is wearing walking shoes and has a "i'm lost' or "this city is HUGE" look on her face.

Because, most cities that have subways are big enough to have tourists. It's also half insulting to locals when you call them a tourist.

Thursday I did my first ever approach on the subway. It was a 5 set I think, one guy, then HB6-7-7-8. So I decided I was not going to pussy out and I actually opened them with a

"Hey, which way to the 6 train?"

Honestly, it works just fine.

No response, I guess they didn't realize I was talking to them (they may have been shy). Instead of walking away like an AFC, I repeated:
"Do you know where the 6 train is?"
I started talking to them and found out they had no idea because they were from Poughkeepsie. The HB8 was staring at me like she wanted to tackle me and drag me to her cave and hump my face. Then one of the HB7's tried to start talking to me. Wow, I really should have stacked forward.

BTW Grand Central Station is an awesome place to open up tourists and stuff like that. It's HUGE with so many people.
