Post subject:  Using battle scars as conversational skills
I was wondering what your guys thoughts were on me using battle scars as topics after using an opener. I would tell her that i have a very physical job and on top of that i play paintball on my off time. So naturally i have some cuts and nasty bruises from being shot with paintballs lol. Think this kind of tactic could work?

Yeah, it could work to make a few things clear. But I wouldn't dwell on it.. Doubtful she'll be much impressed by your very physical job or paintball. But I'm sure it could be reassuring that the cuts and nasty bruises weren't caused by your last girlfriend.

Try to dwell on her instead.

You want to get inside her head, not spill your guts to her. Try to maintain a certain degree of mystery.. Reality can be a real turn off, we all get enough of that. Besides there's plenty of time for that later.

I have a barrage of scars all over my body and face, they come in quite handy actually. But I have never used them for an opener. Such a thing could work, but I prefer to let the women ask about them. This way you don't come off as bragging, show-off, corny guy who likes his scars to much, etc.

My advice is just use them as something they want to ask about. I have about 5 scars on my face and head, girls ask about them all the time and then are blown away by the stories from each of them.

Of course opening with them could work, but I don't know how'd you approach it properly without coming off as a tool. The scars are far better used as something else, not an opener.

Cool thanks for your guys feedback on that. I've had girls in the past had the reaction of asking where i got some of my bruises or welts from in the middle of a convo. Just thought how it could work to start something with it. So i'll just keep it as a mystery thing and when they wanna know ill play into it some.

yeh my only battle scars are on my knuckles from fighting and thats not something im proud of or something i want to tell girls that im just meeting

I race motorcross and have scars on my ankle from surgery. I didnt get the surgery because of motocross but I dont lie to them either, if they ask i kinda of imply it maybe because of a crazy crash or something. One thing I found is women love motocross riders, I guess they assume we are all the bad ass f*ck the sh*t out of them type guys.

i have a 5inch scar running up my left fore arm goes through my tattoo, when asked i give a big ellaborate story on how i saw a guy in a shop been racist to this little old asian women who couldnt understadn what he was sayin..
so me, being drunk throws the nearest thing to hand which was a pack of hobknobs at the dudes head. he turns pushe's me i stumble back and put my arm through a fridge, although i broke the fridge the lady was very grateful didnt realise at first i had cut my arm until i got outside..
and the dude ran off without his stuff...

they mostly go ..REALLY!!!!

me - nope i was mountain biking in the lake district adn i crashed into a wall, LOL - that is true but i always get laugh an for some reason it does build attraction i lov etellin these stories, i dont know why or on what level tehy work but it does...

i think talkin about paintballin for a short time would be good, its unique really and alot of fun, talk about ti for a while ask her if she's ever played or if she'd like to? i cant see it workin as an opener,

but def some DHV - meth is right always wait for the girl to ask about ur scars, an when she asks say maybe il tell you later, you know the score.
