I'm going out sarging tomorrow night at a country western bar with two non gamers. I want to try the cologne opener. Where you spray a kind of cologne on each wrist and ask women from throughout the bar what kind they prefer. I think this is a great opener, becuase it doesn't immediately seem like I'm hitting on these HBs, it shows i'm comfortable and confident talking to women, talking to all these women through out the night should raise my social value and I will know what kind of cologne to wear out next time. I'm just curious if anyone has any success with this opener in the past and what kind of advice anyone is willing to offer. Also, would a line like now I know what kind of cologne to wear on our date work? Or some variation on it. Thanks, B-Man |

When I used this I used it kind of as a routine... I didn't open with it, but I let her look at my arms for ages and she got really curious. |

I've used this before. I didn't have much success when out alone, but a friend of mine was talking to a 2 set and I said to her "I need your help on a life-or-death situation here which cologne smells nicer?" My friend refused to smell either so I negged her on it which prompted my target to jump at the chance to prove her courage. I would advise using a pivot or a pawn to help you with this opener so that it doesn't come off as creepy. |

So I used the cologne opener last night. Sometimes I used it as a way to bring the girls in closer and build attraction. But as an opener it only didn't work once, and it was a two set and one girl was into it and the other wasn't, so as soon as one thought it was weird, they both thought it was weird. However, on 5 other approaches I got 3 K-closes and 2 number closes. Unfortunately my attempt to F-close my final K-close of the night didn't work. But thats another story.
