Okay, let's say you're at a party with 30 people. How do you make a time contraint in this situation? I mean, there's no way that "you have to leave soon" is going to work here. Does anybody have any ideas of how to make this work, or are there other ways of getting the same result as a time constraint would? |

Why are you running full indirect game at a party that size? People go to those parties to interact. It's not like a club, where you've got cliques that could conceivably require FTCs. You don't need an excuse to stay in set there. You can get away with just being sociable. Just bounce around meeting everyone. Introduce yourself around, stay in for a minute, and roll off each set and move to the next one. You don't need time constraints; just stay in each set for a second and run short-set game at the beginning of the night, and go back to warmer sets later. If you feel you need an "out-line," just tell the truth: you're trying to meet everyone, it was nice meeting you, I'll see you later. The key word here is NORMAL. This is a NORMAL thing to do. That's what cool, sociable people do at these parties. Everyone there is supposed to get to know each other. They don't need excuses to talk to one another. |
