Post subject:  Going on a snowboard trip and need help!!!

Heres the situation, myself and about 5 other guys and 4 girls (all around 20yo or so) have rented a cabin to go snowboarding/party for 4 nights. I know all but one of the girls and they're trying to set me up with the one that I don't know who is a solid hb8.5. I'm not sure how to approach the situation as I don't want to come off too aggressive too quick and make things awkward for the rest of the trip but I also don't want to "friend zone" myself. btw there will definitely be drinking involved and most likely drinking games so if you have any ideas for games that would make us interact more with possible kino that would be great. I am a social guy and love to party but I do tend to get self conscious about my height (5'7") and disqualify myself, not to mention one of the guys going has no game and loves to try and cockblock for some reason. Any words of advice would be super appreciated

This actually sounds verry simple to me.
The girls are trying to hook u up , let them do all the work. Show her u are that funny, charming, entertaining guy that they no doubt alrdy have told her u are. Be confident , dont be afraid to let things escalate ( both kino and conversation , the biggest misconception is that u need an excuse to kino escalate, dont look for games that involve it, just do it )

If u are looking for some funny drinking games with some angle i am sure there are posted some on the fora. Personally i would make some up on the spot, pretty sure your female friends will be there to back u up.

Rely on your female friends, there are the inside man in this job . Priceless !

Hope to have helped u some
keruli

ps : worrying about your hight is just plain rubbish, u aint tall u aint small , get over it i am sure there is plenty of other stuff to work with.

I was just at a similar cabin/snowboarding weekend in Austria a few weeks ago, and it was a blast. The advice from the guy above is good, focus on being yourself and just having fun. In fact, it might be helpful to focus on the snowboarding and drinking aspects of the trip, and let the outcome of the "setup" come as it may; that's the best way to avoid any anxiety and demonstrate yourself to the chiquita in the best possible light. If you're a decent snowboarder, stick near her on the slopes and build up kino/rapport there, which will make it much easier once you bounce back to the cabin.

As for games, coming up with things on the spot is cool, but it doesn't hurt to have some games rehearsed. At our weekend, another guy with us was the one who came armed with all the games, and he was the life of the party by default. Just look up party/drinking games on the web and memorize the rules for 4 or 5 of them that you think the group would be into. Even if it's not a drinking game, it's easy to incorporate drinking into anything :) One of the popular ones for us was a kind of "Who am I?" game where everyone writes the name of a celeb on a post-it note and sticks it on someone else's forehead. You go around in a circle with everyone asking yes/no questions about who they are. Every time someone guessed who their celebrity was, whoever was left had to take a shot (or a healthy swig). Good fun, especially with 10 people :)

The height advice from above is also spot on - don't mention it, and don't let it affect your thinking. Obviously, your friends considered it enough of a non-issue that they're still hooking you up, so why the hell should you care? If you're still stuck on it, there is plenty of good advice for getting around height anxiety and cockblockers on the forum that can help you out, but remember, YOU are the one being hooked up here, so just be cool and enjoy what should be a great time regardless of the outcome.
