Well I read the "acne for dummies" and theres alot of myths and stuff going on out there. I thought with my very large information knowledge i learned ( jk its just the basic stuff) maybe i could help some of you. I suffer from acne myself, but i got sick of it and got information from a pure source. Right now i'm using differin ( a topical applicant!). Well post if you got a question about acne and hopefully i can give you some advice that will help, but if it doesn't, your on your own brutha. |

Quote: Differen is a perscription topical, its not counter bought. Counter bought stuff to treat bad acne is the problem ppl have because they're so weak ( as in the acne SPAM is weak). I'm far from qulified though, but a good way to learn is to teach.
Ya none of the counter stuff ever worked for me so I hadto get some of the good stuff from a Doc |

ya so...i have tried 20 different "creams" 4 different medicines (orally) all kinds of gels, many washes, you can NEVER SAY you know how to treat someones acne, i am the definition of it. I have suffered from cystic acne for about 6-7 years now, horrible big red bumps...not little whiteheads, no mine would be the size of marbles, horrible for my ego obviously. anyways i found a new combination that works, and not to diss anyone about ONE of the washes is over the counter. i have paid over 800 for a wash, and the 5 dollar one is what works best. its better to DESCRIBE your acne, your skin coloration, how they form, is your skin greasey etc. btw. what i use is OXY benzoyl peroxide wash 10% benzoyl peroxide. (about 4.59) and benzaclin topical gel (about 120.00) it works wonders =] |

yeah no kidding with the acne you've got, many ppl try use "Proactive" and other stuff, but they just don't see a proffesional to get help. Even your family doctor is "equipped" to help with acne (not major though) because its part of there learning, they'll even team up with a dermatoligist. Yeah with the set up you got it sounds like it works, but i read that "washs" should be left on your face for 5 or 10 mins cause the benzoyl peroxide has to be left on your face to do some damage, which makes washs not really important, the topical gel does the clearing. I bet the topical gel helps u through the wazzu. Glad that you've got your acne under control. And if theres anything i learned about acne is to see a doctor.

got this stuff called duac (its £7 on prescription in Uk - think it is more in us) that works wonders on my skin. Skin goes a little red/dry at first, and you may get an initial out break but within a few weeks it should start to take hold. I have (had) very mild acne. Few isolated spots (white heads) around the mouth jawline etc. Enough to annoy me tho (had several at one point), so I went to the doctors. She almost laughed at how mild it was but gave me this miracle cream. Meant to use it every night, but i use it 3 times a week now. It also means I can put bio oil on my face (twice a day) that clears up old blemishes/scars and give you really soft/moisturised skin. Can slow down wrinkles/aging aswell, got to think of the future if you wanna be a pua thru your 30's... Bio oil used to give me more spots than usual tho, but duac sees to that... With very little effort, My skin is almost airbrush smooth after 4 months of this routine. Make sure you drink loads of water... Note - Read some reviews on the net, duac is awsome stuff even on more severe acne. It seems 10-15% of skin types don't react well to it however, so beware. |

yea exactly Harleystcool just consult your local dermatologist, its basically free if your under 18 (parents insurence) and if not its like 50 bucks to go see your derma, for a consultation/meds etc. MOST of the time the doctors are kinda/generous enough to give you a great amount of FREE SUPPLIES, i was doing laser SPAM for about 6 months, it was 100 a pop, and i did about 4 a month (got expensive) so my meds were costing me a lot, they would always give me about 2 months of supplies for FREE the BIGGEST and the BIGGEST THING most people DONT DO IS MOISTURIZE people if you think your skin is gonna get to oily, it most likely IS! but its ok, its natural when you use products ESPECIALLY Benzoly/salicylic acid your face dries out horribley maybe u dont see it but its HAPPENING, and besides all that usually sun irritates your skin more than you u know. i use dove spf15 fragrance free lotion, and it works wonders. its also good for reducing wrinkles (2 for 1 haha) its about 10 bucks, but it lasts u for about 2-3 months and i always moisturize. PROACTIVE really isn't that great, its not treated for cystic acne. (big deep red ones that HURT) u can read what it does online threw sites/doctors etc. but its not really meant for THAT type of acne. i also got injections IN my skin a small doseage of....hmm i dont know why but my mind is going blank on the name, but it doesn't really hurt, its like a quick ant bite type feel on your face (when they inject u) that was also 100 haha but it gets great immediate results, they also do the uv light thing to kill all the dead skin cells on top (great as well) as far as DUAC GOES, thats great medicine, works great for some people i heard, i think its more for oily based skin though, not to sure if someone could check. when i wash my face i usually leave it on for a minute. i wash it then usually piss and stand there for a bit lol then wash it off haha but ya im not sure on "how long to use it" also get a facial once a month, ya you'll probably break out the first day or 2 the first few times u get it...but honestly it DOES WORK because think of it this way...u pop the pimples, and the "SKIN" gets pulled off etc. but u most likely dont exfoliate (most males dont) so that skin just SITS THERE, piles up, and causes more acne. dont be afraid to get a facial its not gay, and it WILL HELP U in the long run and like legacy87 said drink PLENTY OF WATER just do this to test it, drink about 8 cups of water a day for a week, then DONT drink as much water the next week, see how drastic your skin changes, and im not talking about acne wise neither, i mean the "glow" the feel, just the overall look is amazing. i been slacking on drinking water lately and it feels as if my face is kinda "dull" one last thing...i NEVER smoked marijuana before, and i had bad acne, for some reason when i got my medicinal card, and started "trying it" more and more, my acne started to clear up, i was on cipro for about 2 years now, and honestly from my nose to the bottom of my chin would be SWOLLEN of acne, im talking about as if i was in a car accident, my acne is THAT BAD if i dont have things to control it (washes, creams, pills) anyways i tried to "GO OFF" my pills one time to see if i didnt need them...BIG PROBLEM!! anyways so now that i smoke, it seems my acne has cleared up sooo muhc, im not sure if its my routine that worked better? but has anyone tried SMOKING MARIJUANA (herb, weed, that 'ish lol) and there skin has cleared up?? been wanting to "test" this theory |

Yeah they say duac works well on more oily skin, but my skin is quite dry and it still does its magic. I moisturise about 20 mins before tho, to stop a little dryness. The only reason I use it 3 times a week is because your skin in some cases can build up a tolerance, and stop it from working after a year or so... hopefully not for me... You don't wash it off, you leave it on for the night. Just put a light layer on where you normally get spots. Keep it in the fridge aswell. Lengthens its life span. Reports say it can stop working if not kept in the fridge after 3 months... It dyes clothes as well, so wash your hands! To be honest, I recommend everyone who gets the odd spot to get this stuff, it really works that well. Sounds like i sell the stuff, but trust me... |

Speaking of moisturizers, you know when you soak in a tub for abit, then your skin looks prune? well thats the outlayer of your skin (Epidermis i think its called) soaking up water, then if you wait 10 min the water will evaperate. What moisturizers do is that it keeps your skins moist from evaperating. So that being said, if you want some hydrated skin, put on moisturizer after you take a shower. And be sure its noncomedogenic (does not cause blocking of the pores). I wish i didn't make the mistake of putting this in the "openers" section.
the BIGGEST and the BIGGEST THING most people DONT DO IS MOISTURIZE people if you think your skin is gonna get to oily, it most likely IS! but its ok, its natural when you use products ESPECIALLY Benzoly/salicylic acid your face dries out horribley maybe u dont see it but its HAPPENING, and besides all that usually sun irritates your skin more than you u know. i use dove spf15 fragrance free lotion, and it works wonders. its also good for reducing wrinkles (2 for 1 haha) its about 10 bucks, but it lasts u for about 2-3 months and i always moisturize. |

ACNE.ORG!!!!! great site, great product, great information. I've been using this for about 6 weeks and the results are amazing.... seriously this guy is the real deal. He makes his own products and also tells you what other over the counter products can also be used in place of his...soo, he's not trying to sell his products he's trying to help you with your problem. I've been struggling with acne for YEARS and I've seen better results in this past month and a half than my whole life... Follow his Regimen and you will get results i promise |
