Hey guys I really need some help. I'm understanding a lot of different theories involved with the PUA community but I have one gaping problem. I cannot keep a conversation going. What can I do to improve my conversation ability? I tried canned material but I can't come up with any good stories. I have one that suffices and meets the checkpoints of being interesting and DHV's. I also understand you don't have to have a ridiculous story. Just a decent one that is some what interesting and is a DHV. Please help |

Yeah i hate that canned crap. I have your same problem as well. To cope with it, i just talked to more people everywhere i went, school, the store, in my dorm and at the gym. Eventually you will become accustomed to talking to people. Now at parties and clubs, a good conversation topic is what the chick's wearing and lead that into a story. Sometimes those random questions that require a girl's opinion are stupid. Be funny and cocky and usually she will start asking you questions. Make more statements about the environment and her and somehow relate it to yourself. What can I do to improve my conversation ability? Learn to chit chat better. Most conversations are really made up of small bits of chit chat. Which may lead to a topic of interest which will help carry the conversation even more. |

One more exercise which is great: open a book, any book, put a finger randomly on any part and whichever word you pointed try to say something interesting about that word. In beginning it will be hard but later you`ll be able to talk a lot about anything that pops on your mind, no matter how stupid it may sound. Not my own stuff, I read about it somewhere few years ago but it works! |

Alright I appreciate the help. So you do you think it would be wise to stop approaching women while I'm learing to carry conversation better or should I just keep at it? I've been trying to talk to more and more people at work and when I'm around people so I will keep working on that. I will also try the book idea. |

I've been trying to talk to more and more people at work and when I'm around people so I will keep working on that. I will also try the book idea. Most definitely not. You should actually aproach more and more cause after each approach you will be more relaxed and when relaxed the conversation topics will just popping out. |
