Post subject:  The problem with Opinion Openers

As we are all becoming aware, opinion openers are becoming quite mainstream and are beginning to loose the subtlty they once had. Here is what i have personally done to try and adapt, some of these measures have been mensioned before on this forum, or may seem obvious, but i'll share them for everyone who is still struggling with this problem.

1. when using opinion openers make them as situationally relevent as possible. Tailor to the set and the envirnment. For example think of openers that ask for opinions on people in the room. eg. "Do u see that guy sitting in the corner? The old guy with the beard, do you think he's hot? My friend has a thing about old guys with beards, please tell her to sort her life out."

2. If forced to use more abstract opinion openers. Make sure you use them about common and easy subjects. Anything along the lines of "do you think magic spells work?" is not going to cut it anymore. Make it easy and believable. One tht I use with college girls is about the social networking sight Facebook. Where im from 99% of ppl my age are on facebook, and so won't find it difficult of unusual if I ask them something like "Do you think it's weird when guys chat up girls on facebook... cos my friend etc."

3. Don't use opinion openers on a one set. Its simply unnessesary and unnatural. Be indirect if nessesary. Something like "Are u russian?... You look like this russian prison guard in a film i was watching the other week."
(A bit unbelievable but gets a laugh)

By the way heres an awsome opener to use on a ginger HB. "Wow, are u ginger? I've been meaning to meet more ginger people. My name's..." (not to be adapted to "ive been meaning to meet more black people." lol that doesn't have quite the same ring to it.)

4. Never say "hey can I get your opionion on something?" Just say hi and ask.

5. I find it more natural to give a time contraint after the opener than b4. If i want to know the time. I don't say " hi, can i stop you it'll only take a second. do you have the time please?" I just ask. its the same with opinion openers, if i really was only going to be there 4 a minute why would i feel the need to say it. I'd just stay for a minute and go, its only cos we want to stay longer that we say it. Try doing the opener, with "about to leave" body language, but no time constraint. Then once thay've given their opinion say. "Hey you know what. I need to go in a minute to meet my mate, but let me tell you something crazy..."

I'm hoping that opinion openers will never become obsolete, but all puas should face up 2 the possibility that if "the Game" film comes out and is a success, opinion openers will no longer provide us with an "under the radar" approach.

The points i've made above go some way to eliminating some of the most obvious signs of a pua that women may pick up on. If anyone else has any advice please share it here. What I haven't given here beacuse I don't really know any, is a good indirect but not opinion opener to use ON A GROUP. This this when they seem the most useful and the most difficlut to replace. If anyone knows any, please let us know.

Lastly, I appoloagise if this topic has been exhausted in other threads. I have looked through the forum but can't read through everything. So please still reply even if its all been said b4. Happy sarging everyone :D

This is so true...opinion openers are becoming so common these days because the community going mainstream (damn mystery and his show on vh1!!!). I do alot of day game because of my age so naturally I have run into the very same problem. If I see a single set, I just direct open and stack forward to an opinion opener. If I see a group set (I'm intimidated by mixed sets...something I have to work on) I usually go situational or make a joke then stack forward to an opinion opener.

Opinion openers still work for me and i have no problem with them. I agree with you on some aspects and i disagree with you on others. But then again not many people know about 'game' where i live.
