What do you do when you feel like people are paying attention to others more than you?

I was in this situation today at school. Group of 4 guys, 2 of them were focused on each other, body language and words. 3rd guy didnt say much. Whenever I tried to join in the conversation, I didn't get much attention. I was pretty talkative, I project my voice, I make EC, but once whatever I said was done with, they would comment, and then go back to their 1-on-1 conversation. I didnt feel involved much.

talk to the third guy. make them want to join YOUR conversation. dont look up to people ever, (JOINING their conversation, seeking approval/acceptance), because no matter what when you look up to someone it means they are looking down on you.

I was having this problem the other night it seemed like every set I opened with something interesting and then they tangented off to each other, which is normal but usually there is interest there that brings them back to me - I usually just wander off after DHVing in a set so I can come back later so it wasn't a big deal, but I discovered a cool trick later on.

I start telling a DHV story to an HB3 and some dude, they interrupt me for some reason, so Instead of stopping, I just turned my back on them to another set whom I had opened previously and kept telling my story. I merged the sets and had a captive audience since I demonstrated to ALL of the onlookers (I get alot of onlookers because I just walk around a venue opening everyone then leaving when they stop being interesting) that I have standards and I'm not going to tolerate rude behavior/not being the center of attention.

struggling with the same thing here, guess I have to talk about interesting topics or tell interesting stories. I think rumours can probably get the most attention tho
