I m trying to open up a conversation on SPAM with a girl (working in the same office with me and I got her number somehow randomly in an event before) from a general greeting... below is our conversation while I m not sure how to move to more topics or open a topic later on (say, tomorrow?)

Me: Hope that we don't need to work later this year too <we are used to work until late night, indeed we are in different team working on totally different thing>

Her: Yes hope we don't need to OT any more!

Me: Let's tell the boss "hope we don't need to OT" this Wednesday when he delivering new year gifts. <yes, the boss will deliver new year gift...>

Her: I have not seen him OT before.

Me: Then I ll give him a gift and tell him don't let us OT anymore. <shit, wht s a conversation killer I am...>
