Sometimes I'll approach or talk to someone like the cute receptionist and an awkward silence enters the convo. At this point either she will end the interaction or I will. How do you keep approaches flowing? How do you bounce back when your mind goes blank and you can't think of anything to say? |

Lean over to her ear and whisper "Did you forget your line?" |

It's natural. We're humans. Don't fret it. Main thing: Don't take it upon yourself that this has occurred. Again: It's natural. When pauses happen on a "date" I sometimes make light of it because it is good when people can relax and let a convo rest for a while without filling every empty space with a word. Just be. |
