hey guys i'm new to this, it probably has been asked alot. but what the fuck do you do after the opener? my understanding is resume questions are boring.

Focus on your nonverbals before you start picking openers. Normally people don't remember how they met one another...

Go out and talk to some girls. Do whatever feels right. You clearly haven't done anything aside read a few books or something.... Now go make it practical.

Not that I can speak for the OP, but in his defense, this is something that I still struggle with and i've approached maybe 300 girls since reading my first pickup book! (so I am actually trying as opposed to just reading material)
I mainly approach in bars/night game.

After the open, I naturally ask things like ''who are you here with'', ''what are your plans for tonight'', ''what do you do for a living'', and pretty soon i feel like i'm out of ammo! Especially if they give me like one words answers and stuff.

Some people seem to have a gift of just talking. Rambling. Just making statements, but my brain can never think of what to say for some reason.

It'd need to be someone in the UK.

I had another lame night on Saturday and I keep playing it over in my head. I jsut don't know what to fucking say/talk about!

I spoke to this one girl briefly in a beer garden of a bar. She opened me and asked me what clubs are around here. I told her and then asked where she lived She told me. We spoke for a minute or so about some of the places there, as I go there sometimes. Then she left.

I went too a different bar later on and saw her at the bar, and some guy had her laughing and stuff and I was tihnking ''I wonder what he said to her? How he opened? What he said for the first few minutes of teh conversation?'' I would have literally paid money to have their whole conversation on film to study!!


Then later, I was dancing, and I noticed she was near me. I said ''Are you glad you came to *name of my town* then?'' and she just kind of half smiled as if to acknowledge that she heard me, and then turned her back on me/ignored me. I just felt like a dick.

I then approached another girl on the dance floor. Asked her how her night was going. Then I think I tried to guess what she does for a job. I can't remember exactly how the conversation went as i'd probably had a few beers by that point, but I wasn't able to keep her interest at all.

I'm even thinking about literally going up to a guy the next time I see someone approach a girl and look like they're doing well. and then asking him exactly what he said. I think it might make me look like a nut case, but I think it may help!

On rare occasions i'm able to do well with the 'after teh open' stuff, but only if I have easy material to work with. Maybe if the girls is in fancy dress costume or something!

I'll tell you what NOT to do. I'm new to this...and last night I was at a deli getting some food. A HB8.5 ordered right after me. I did the stupid "ask a million questions" bit. (I wasn't really out sarging. Just kinda dipping my toes in the water).

ME: "So, what did you order". "How long have you been around here" "Do you like it here"...etc etc.

She just answered in a friendly manner. Eye contact was minimal. Didn't really care if I walked away or not.

People often say to tease her about something, or to talk about something funny that's happening around you, but 95% of the time, there's nothing about her that I can tease her about, and there's nothing happening in the bar to comment on. I mean, maybe 1 night per year a girl might fall over next to us or something and I can comment on that and try to think of a way to make a fun comment about it, but most of the time....no/

You can always tease her based on her answers. Like this:

Point is shake off that predictability in the start of the conversation, and later you can switch to just having

I kind of do that already in a way, and will tease her on he answers if I can think of something, but everyone tells me to NOT ask them sort of questions (about their job for example) in the first place.

Can you see my confusion??

But if i'm not allowed to ask them about their job or how their night is going, or who they are with, or where they are going that night after I open, AND i need to 'be fun', then I don't know what i'm supposed to say after I say 'hey, what's up' (or however I choose to open)

Give me some examples of NON resume questions that YOU say after you open a girl in a bar so that I can test them going forward.
