Sitrep:

She's a bartender at a nightclub. Tattooed and of course attractive. Everytime I'm at said nightclub we talk for a bit but I don't make it too long. Exchange glances when not close to each other. I'm aware of the attraction between us.

A few weeks ago I politely asked for her number, however she offered her Instagram. I sent her a message with no reply but I can see she read it.

I did ask her about it when i saw her again to which her reply was "I get hit on all the time (of course) I want you to try harder." taken a bit back I smirked and not one to back down from the challenge I agreed.

I haven't said anything since this DM with her. I'm looking for suggestions on what an opener would be?

She gave you an instagram and now you're a follower. But let's say she did want you to try harder, why would you want to? It's playing games and she's making you invest into her while she doesn't do any work. You're next step either way is not to try at all. If the attraction between you two is really there, she's going to ask why you haven't tried anything.

Try to find out more about her personality. It will help you to generate a more effective approach.

instagram is just as lame as a Facebook close I would consider being persistent with the phone number, you can get away with anything if just disregard her response and assume the number Again though, doesn't make a flakey number solid, but at least you're not 'Following her' With girls that are working, I tend to write my number down on a napkin or something. if she texts, I know she somewhat interested since I put the ball in her court
