I've been getting better flirting as I've gotten more confident. In fact, yesterday, I practiced an insight I hadn't done previous due to lack of nerve.

I'd heard from a speaker on Youtube that in the conversational pauses, if you wait, the girl will fill them circa three-quarters of the time. Well, yerterday, I tried it on an eight, a hired gun at the gym, and she kept the conversation going twice that way. This insight, and vote of confidence, will make things easier, going forward.

Oh, and I flirted with another girl there, yesterday. Commenting on her dyed hair (I called her a witch, a week, or so, earlier) I asked if it was to keep men from hitting on her. She said no, to which I asked if it was working, to which she burst out laughing.

Later, after seeing her flirt with someone else, I asked if he was her fiance. She said no, to which I said, "Too bad; I was hoping you'd introduce me." All this got me another burst of laughter, and the assurance she will intorduce me.

Raised the stakes, I did; gotta put up or shutup if she does, but I'm at least being confident, and that's presently working.

It happens really frequently. Introverts generally get the butt-end of this deal and people treat them as "therapists". Being TOO talkative can come off as nervous in a lot of regards. Just learn to be cool and confident.

What happens frequently? I'm not sure what you're referring to exactly in what I said.

Oh--you mean that I'm on the verge of figuring out the if I allow, girls will talk forever? Well, so far, that hasn't been much of an issue, given I've been doing so much stumbling around in the initial thirty or-so seconds.
