Post subject:  The lost Chicken

Me mate wanted to make a point. He said:

"It doesn't matter what you say in an approach. Its how you say it!"

So he went on and proved it to me with the most ridicules opener.

He is standing by a pedestrian crossing when a two set approaches.

HE: "Hey. Help me! I lost my chicken."
THEM: "Your chicken? What does it look like?"
HE: "Gosh you city girls ain't know nothing, ay." (pause)
--before they can reply he continues--
HE: "Well, it's about that tall"
--while showing the chickens size with his hands, he touches one girl with the back of his hand--
HE: "It has beautiful feathers and makes a chook, chook sound."
--girls look confused, not sure if he is messing with them--
HE: "Help me find it."
-- he looks at girls with watery eyes like a puppy dog--
THEM: "How so? We haven't seen any chicken."
HE: "OK, here is the plan. We team up. Six eyes see better then two. You...
--grabs one girl by the shoulders, moves her a little--
HE: "...are responsible for overlooking the left wing. And you..."
--grabs the other girl by the shoulders, moves her a little and positions himself in-between them
He: "...are responsible for the right wing. It's an old Indian Jones trick. You must have heard of this."
--girls kinda amused, but still a little confused--
THEM: "No? Does it work?"
HE: "Sure dude. Team work always works. So, are yous ready?"
--looks at both of them rather demanding, then questioning--
THEM: "Yeah!"
--he bends his arms, both girls hook in and they cross the pedestrian crossing--

CONCLUSION
All he did was controlling the frame with confidence and charm. He wasn't needy nor did he use any magic pick up line.

What I learned from it? Inner game is so much more important, because with a solide inner game, you make up your opener on the spot.
