Post subject:  Re-opening with an ex-girlfriend

First of all, I hope this is the right place for posting this. I'm not that familiar with this forum and its structure.

I've been with this girl before, but we broke up almost 8 months ago. Meanwhile, I had another gf, but it wasn't anything that serious. I know from a friend that she was with a guy (which I know) too, but honestly, I don't care that much.

She's pretty cool, that type of girl who shares the same ideas as me and so on and from all the girls I've been with, she was the one who I had the strongest connection with. This weekend I wanted to speak with a friend of mine on facebook but just before I was going to click on his name in the chat windows, he went offline, so I clicked on her. Anyway, I told her about the mistake and we kinda started a conversation, with her asking me what's up. I asked the same and she told me she was watching some TV show. I said that I'm gonna let her watch it then, but she told me that the show it's not going anywhere and she can talk to me now. From all this conversation, I somehow let her now that I'm doing very good now and improved a lot of other aspects from my life.

Keeping it short, it was a casual talk, with both of us catching up. I haven't spoken to her since august, when we were at the seaside, in different places, but pretty close to each other. She sent me two messages, asking me if I was going to the place where she was. If so, 'give me a message or something, so we can hangout'. It didn't happened.

Since Friday night, when we talked, she started liking the stuff I post and posting all kinds of pictures with quotes, which I can take as some signals she's sending.

Ok, now you have all the details :) I was thinking about reapproaching her, but this time I want to focus more on a physical relationship (at least I want that), and depending how things evolve, who knows..

So, here's my plan. Saturday it's going to be my name day (I guess that's the term). As I know her, she's gonna send me a message with some wishes. I was thinking about starting a little talk and tell her that I'm kinda bored, which I will be, as all my mates are going home or working during next weekend, so we're gonna reschedule the party we were planning.

If she's gonna be chatty and make my game, I want to tell her something like "You know what, I don't wanna stay inside anymore. Let's go somewhere for a drink. After all, it's my name day". If she says yes, I know what to do from there...

What do you guys think? Is this a good idea? I'd be really grateful if you could give me some advice or even better ideas for this.

Thanks in advance!

(PS: Sorry if I made some grammar mistakes, it's 2 AM here and I'm going to sleep after this :D)

Have no idea what a "name day" is.

She said she wanted to hang-out earlier on, about as direct as it gets. Go for it.
I would leave out the part where you said you were bored, that makes you sound boring and like you have nothing going on. You are getting a lot of IOI's from her and seem to be at a good point. Good luck to you.

Let's say that your name is John and on a certain day, St. John is celebrated..that's your name day. At least that's how it works in my country :)

Anyway, thanks for the tip. I'll keep distance until Saturday and try to ignore here. Hope everything goes well :D

What the hell, just found out that not only the Macedonians celebrate name day but a lot of other nations too.

I guess your Greek or Bulgarian... ;)

Somewhere around those countries :)

Anyway, though I should post an update here. Things didn't go as I was planning. She did send me a message and I tried to talk with her, but she wasn't very communicative. All I got from her was "haha", "yeah", a few short replies and so on, so no chance of proposing to hang out. I even met her around town accidentally a couple of times, but it was only "hey - hi" and nothing more.

So, I think I should call this case closed, right?

Are you putting any effort forward to make it more than a "Hey" and then walking away? Don't expect her to lead these conversations. YOU ARE THE MAN, so be the man and stop her, get her to slow down, and make her love you.

If she is still texting you just ignore some of her texts every once in awhile. Look up some text game stuff so you don't sit around sending 2 word messages with each other all day.
