I've already posted this in the Australia section, but I believe it belongs here also. This is my first post on this site, but don't let that detract from its importance. Let's begin. For the past week I have spent my time in a utopia of pickup where the girls are pretty (pretty intoxicated;) ), the music is loud and hormones run rampant. Yes it was schoolies on the gold coast and yes I am young but bare with me. It is the typical situation that you will see at a party, pretty much a sea of small groups. Although a range of pick up openers worked that week, I believed this was the easiest, quickest and most likely to succeed especially in the kiss-close situation. Pick a group with none to limited guys and make your presence noted What you will need: 1) A wingman who is a good actor and confident 2) Poker-face :l The opener: Wing: "Hey guys, my mate needs an opinion real quick, is that cool?" Group: "Sure, i guess that's fine" W: "(name) pretty much broke up with his girlfriend just this week. How long should he wait until he, you know, moves on?" G: OMG no what happened? You: Well she cheated on me G: OMG. You can get with someone tonight! W: Yeah, he should! Right now would be perfect! G: Yes! (random girl) is single! (awkward yet firm stare at that girl, wing steps away to intensify sexual tension) W: Even just a kiss, then we will leave you guys to it G: OMG etc. etc. Then just go for gold. This worked for me so many times without failure, you just can't show any fear that it will fail. The people there are already sympathizing with you and your break up. You're already embarrassed! As I said this is my first post and I'm relatively new to the game scene. Feel free to discuss other methods or suggest any improvements I could make. Thanks! |

This is a great opener and I want to explain why it works: Wingman game can work wonders because it relies heavily on having someone else demonstrate your higher value. Your wingman can talk you up to a group (which really communicates a lot sub-textually) but can also help you open sets and help you isolate. In this case this particular opener relies on the fact that your friend is going out of his way to sort of "get you laid," which is actually a lot rarer in male culture than one would expect. This communicates that your friend obviously has some attractive and/or "good" qualities. When this is juxtaposed with this hypothetical cheater you're automatically setting the stage for tons of sympathy. The third part of this all is crucial. as long as the guy is normal looking and has even a modicum of game then he'll be seen as someone of higher value, which surprises everyone. |

That's right - I try a similar opener once, and it's works. I think another reason is the fact of the social status. A WM show's that your able to have social contacts, and this get your social capital (Pierre Bourdiou) up. |

Well the main reason that works so well is that's schoolies and most everyone is looking for a hookup. It's a very specific situation. |

This isn't going to be effective. 1. wings with confidence that are good actors who has your agenda at his priority don't grow on trees. They're about has hard to find as a 10 to bang raw. 2. Opinion openers are 9 years old and 5 years past their prime. I'd stay away from it unless you are in some third world country where there's no TV, books, or social media. 3. The routine is simply too long and drawn out boring, and you are banking on the girl being average enough she's infatuated with at least one of the guys, if not both. Story looks like a neat read to a high school guy, but if you have your "confident good actor" wing, there's no need to do this silly girlfriend routine. 4. Most girls don't want to talk to a guy on the rebound. Unless doing so is just to make him feel good. They don't sleep with guys on the rebound. First great common way to turn a girl off, is bringing up another girl, or girl from your past. |

Bad opener and would probably only work on drunk girls looking to hookup or who have already given IOI's. Sure, it may get sympathy conversation, same way if you opened with my friend got diagnosed with cancer today girls will chat with you but it makes you look unattractive at the end of the day. |

I'm not normally a fan of these types of openers, but I actually quite like this one. The "just one kiss and then we'll leave you" bit may need to be omitted, but the rest is pretty decent. I still maintain that the best wingmen just break the ice and then chuck you in at the deep end. I once had a wing who I'd only met two days before. We went out and said to me "I've got the best chat up line, works every time." He walked up to the first hot girl we saw, said "hi, have you met my friend (name)?", then he just walked off. Queue slightly awkward first second of both the girl and me thinking WTF??? Then we just laughed and started chatting. It actually worked brilliantly because we both laughed about the unorthodoxy of the opener and how strange this bloke was! Established a nice fun vibe, a bit of teasing and a bit of sexualisation. Easy to go on from there. |
