Post subject:  A good opener around an unusual name
Hey guys,

Hope you can give me a hand and come up with something interesting. My name is not English, and it sounds very similar to a word "magic", which I often tell people to call me to avoid confusion and unnecessary pronunciation lessons :) It usually is met with a smile, amusement and a bit of banter.

I guess I could turn it into a nice opening routing with a bit of help from you guys. I was thinking of doing sth like

Me: Hi,I'm Magic
She: Magic?
Me: Yeah, like Magic Johnson. I am Magic Johnson Junior (smile)
She : laugh blah,blah
Me: (tell the story of true nature of the name)

or maybe:

Me: Hi,I'm Magic
She: Magic? What kind of a name is that?
Me: My parents came up with a cool name, it is Magic
She : I don't believe you!
Me: It is really, almost... It is not English... (tell the story leading to the true nature)

I have an unusual name .. it gets me a minute or two of convo with just about anyone, but sometimes in loud places it's annoying as shit.
