Maybe I'm in the wrong forums to discuss, but... I had one happen earlier this year, and it's happened again, in both cases after failed negs, more or less, and after they each showed fairly high interest in me. I see her at church, and when she acts extremely flustered. One the one hand, she's showing sins of interest, I think, and on the other, she's avoiding me in a rather conspicuous manner. Should I just ignore, wait, or approach? I really don't know. I'm still getting over my approach anxiety, too, so it doesn't help that I stop, and start. |

What are the "fairly high interest" and "IOI's" are you talking about? Seems to me that failed negs show the lack of social awareness (girls are really good at picking that up) and her avoidance combined with the fidgety behavior as a sign of discomfort, as AA tend to be "contagious". Why would you neg a girl in a church? |

Negging in church...no, can't say it's payed dividends. In the first case, earlier this year, I did so out of an effort at an observation opener, criticizing her hairstyle? Stupid? Yes, but I was trying to be cocky-funny, albeit to disastrous result. Second time I commented on another girl's hair color; not a flatout insult, this time, but she was clearly embarrased, and she was talking to someone else when I butted in. I was trying to make up for times when I received approach signals but didn't act; flayed myself both ways, losing on style and substance. Still, indifference isis the opposite of love, ain't it? Avoidance means she cares, albeit not in the desired ways, yet still so.... |
