Here is a great gym opener.. It is natural, DHV, and a slight neg. I came up with it when I was at the gym the other day and saw a girl that looked semi-familiar. After closer inspection I realized that she was not someone that I knew at all, but she had similar features to an opponent I had flirted with the night before at a co-ed city league volleyball game. A light bulb in my brain came on and I thought of this opener. PUA: "Hey, Didn't we play you guys last night?" HB: "eh?" PUA: "...oh, I guess it's not you, you actaully look like this girl that I play Volleyball with on Wednesday nights." I only used it that one day with mild results but I think it could be a good one. 1. It is totally natural. Gyms are very awkward places to meet women if your game looks pre-meditated 2. DHV. "I play Sports" "I have a fun life" "There are women in my life" 3. Neg. You are not special, you look like this other girl. Thoughts? |

It's good if you're good at your game and and continue after the opener. Personally I could never use that as my game isnt strong, and Im not one for approaching in the gym environment. I go there to work out, and mentally get readdy for that night. If she doesnt enjoy your game, you've just trapped yourself. It's not like school or clubs, you can't just skip or sit at the other side of the class or not stick around that side of campus anymore.. Sorry but Im not switching gyms just because some HB and I have an akward situation. Id rather just not try it at all. (Then again the gym I go to isn't small, but isnt big either..) |

I stick to the "It's so gross when people don't wipe off their equipment after they're done using it" then point to someone who's sweating on their equipment. That's always a good opener, and it's easy to go into describing how nobody ever wipes off the dumbells but they're always used or how "this gym has some good aerobics/yoga classes", blah blah blah. |

the "i hate when people dont wipe off their equipement" is always a good one. you could also try that in neg/cocky funny form. wait till she has finished using the equipment then as she is walking away, walk up to her (from the front not behind, never behind) and say, you didnt wipe off your equipment. but be charming about it, not rude. then follow with something else. also, the volley ball opener is good too but lets tweak it a bit. usually if your hitting on a chick in the gym she is going to be 1. hot and 2. has a shield up because shes hot and in a gym where men are oggling her goodies lol. so you say something like, damn we beat your asses last night! she says, huh or excuse me? then you follow up with (be wide eyed and super surprised) oh, i thought you were Cindy. we play basketball, or soccer, or whatever together....then neg her ass. say something like, but then again i should have known better, cindy has way better teeth. at this point she'll be shocked and a little insulted so in order not to lose her say while smiling oh, i dont mean you have bad teeth i just mean she has a c smile. then whataya know, its time to use c vs u smiles. |

Yeah, used the sweat line again yesterday when I was sandwiched on a cardio machine and actually got one of the girls to wipe my machine off for me! Whoa, that sounded naughty. It caught me off guard, but all the other girls I was talking to noticed and were all giving me IOIs. The gym is cake. I strenuously suggest signing up for those classes that you only see women in. With most gyms, the same women frequent them, and they usually talk to each other. So if you're that hot guy in the kickboxing class and you never get caught checking girls out, the rest are going to want to know who this guy is (and why you don't check them out). |
