I'm a Californian-born guy living in Latin America. I've read Josh Pellicer's stuff and applied what I can. I don't understand a lot of the jargon here in the forum like negs or IOIs or whatever. I'm a very good-looking guy and often pass girls that I like on the street. They notice my eye contact or return eye contact, and look down or giggle and it's obvious that a good number of them are interested in me. I'm just looking for a general icebreaker that I can use when the girl is headed in the opposite direction that will let me get to know them and schedule them to hang out later and/or get a number. -------------------- Update: I tried an idea off of here to say that I was looking for my girlfriend and then describe the girl I was talking too. With the first girl I chickened out as I was saying it and so she just said she hadn't seen her and walked off (I didn't describe her as the "girlfriend." On the second one, I couldn't make the words come out right as I realized I'm not good at describing people in Spanish, on the third one I was more direct and got my point across. She seemed to realize I was describing her, but she wasn't sure and went off. On the fourth (a pair of girls) they didn't let me say the whole thing, but they giggled and jostled each other as they walked away. There was a 5th girl, but as I was trying to screw up my courage she got in a mototaxi and left. |

If a girl is passing by, I would try this: *Girls passes* *Pull something out of your pocket; lighter, gum, whatever* You: Excuse me, miss. Did you drop this? Her: No. (If she's being honest) You: Oh, my lucky day then. *Then you start chatting her up* I think this a solid approach and you come off as a genuine nice guy for trying to return something that may have belonged to her; really demonstrates high value. Good luck, senior! |
