Hey guys, sorry about this, I remember seeing a video on a post here once and I can't find it again In the video it was a guy talking through a routine to rid approach anxiety, the method involved making your anxiety into energy and it floating out of your head or something? I can't remember exactly, but I know it worked! If anyone could help me find it, I'd be very grateful! Cheers Reno |

This is what I did and this is what I have my students do.... Go out to a bar or club or where ever you can approach alot of people. Act as if you are the owner of the bar or the manager. Nobody will no the difference as long as you present yourself properly. Simply ask "You guys having a good time?" Nod your head as you say it. Maybe start to touch some shoulders or arms in each set that you talk to in order to make it seem more "natural" and to get you comfortable escalating kino right off the bat. Cheers Reno This will allow you to realize that people WILL be receptive to you and there is no reason to be afraid of approaching. Good luck -Majik |

Hey Majik, thanks a lot for your advice but I'm afraid I won't pass for a bar manager/owner with a babyface like mine, I barely pass for 19 at the moment - despite being 25! |

LOL dude I have a "baby face" too. That doesn't matter. Just act like you fuckin own the place and it will work. Get the "looks" thing out of your head. If someone challenges you on it, just change the frame of the interaction.Example... Say a guy in the set decides he wants to test you.. You: "You guys having a good time?" AMOG: "Who the fuck are you?" You: "Awesome! Glad you guys are having fun!" be sincere about it and eject. Move on to the next set. Act unaffected by what the guy said to you. All the sudden your image holds true because you DIDN'T answer his question. The point of it isn't to get any further than approaching. It will simply help you get over the fear of approaching strangers. |
