I meet this chick on the bus, first and for-most she was not a HB. I was just trying to talk to someone to kill my time while riding the bus. So anyhow this girl was sitting right across from me and she pulled out a book " how to turn your zodiac into a love potion". So I moved from my seat and sat next to her and said "Hi!" her reply was "Hi!" but in a rude manner with a big BS, I stood my grounds with her and said "whats wrong with you? why you got to answer me like that, did i do something wrong to you?" With-in her BS mood she said " I am just tired." so I changed the topic and said "thats quite an interesting book your reading" and in a Bitchy rude voice she said "what about my book?" my reply was "all that i am saying its an interesting book" and before she said anything i turned my back towards her I had talked to other females about this matter and they told me that I got into her space. An other female told me that sometimes females don't like for others to read what they are reading. And the list goes on and on. So what am I asking? I want a male and female point of view on this. Did I move to fast? or was she just being out of line? Let me know what you think. |

What's wrong with you for saying this?...see, I'm sure you read that and were thinking wow this guy is negative, the first words he says he's already projecting something negative on me and judging me harshly. Negative assumptions about someone cause negative reactions. However, the oppisite is also true. I bet she would have reacted much better if you said wow, that looks like an interesting book. Assuming positive things about people shows that it's what you are used to. That in your life you are surrounded by people that are the positive qualities you project. Quote: what about my book?" my reply was "all that i am saying its an interesting book
You should have a reason for everything you say. The one you gave her seems like (hey I'm just trying to force conversation right now please validate me by responding back) Overall you are a witty guy, and I'm sure if you use that wit in a more positive manner the ladies will be throwing their clothes off for you in no time. |

Many girls have bitch shields...Others don't need them for obvious reasons. Catch my drift? |

Two things happened here. The first is that you hit a sensative topic. All girls have them. It's the stuff that's important to them, but they're afraid someone will make fun of them for. So she bitched you right off the bat to get you to back down. The second is that your approach was obvious. She knew you weren't interested in the book, she was tired, and she just wanted you to go away. Instead of commenting on her 'interesting' book, tell her a story about a fictional friend who would only date women with his zodiac counterpart, and how you've always wondered if there was anything to that stuff. Especially since your friend ended up marry a woman who was his astronomical counterpart. Don't ask her about the book. Get her to tell you about the book. Even better if your signs aren't complimentary. You can appear to take yourself out of the running as a contender and further her comfort level. Being on a bus gives you a natural time constraint. Your stop is coming up. |

I agree with the guy above me, sounds like you got in her space a little aswell. If you sit right next to someone on the bus they will get very defensive. I got a girls number on the bus once because my mate bet me I couldn't, and I never would have dreamed of just sitting right beside her. Think about it, you're caging her between yourself and a window, and it's very domineering and uncomfortable nomatter what way you act. Next time, sit at the seats across from her and get her attention... if she's listening to music just wave your arms and pretend like you're panicking and trying to tell her something really important - she'll get those earphones off pretty quick, lemme tell you! Then, all you have to do is laugh and say "That's great! you wouldn't believe some of the reactions I've got doing that today". Now you can go into whatever routine you had planned. |
