Post subject:  What the hell did I do wrong?
Long story short, I met this HB9 in Vegas at a pool tournament this past May. We hit it off and I had value through the roof because I was with a celebrity friend of mine and I play in his band.

We lost touch, nothing happened, but then she moved to L.A. in October and hit me up saying "I still need to hear you play!"

So I invited her to a musician friend's birthday which was at a music venue that I was invited to sit in on a few songs. We got a drink beforehand, I worked in some kino, then went upstairs to the music part. I told her "I don't know if I'm gonna know anyone or everyone here... so bear with me if I get stuck saying hey to some people." She was totally cool about it. I played 3 songs and the whole thing was about 45 minutes long.

Turns out I knew like 30 people, all of them coming up to me, saying I played great, "we gotta hang", and there were some L.A. douches trying to network with me right in front of her. I introduced her to a few friends BRIEFLY then walked her to her car. She drove me to mine afterwards, and I kissed her for a good 20 seconds or so.

We made plans for Sunday and she said "Yeah I might be going back to Vegas with family but let's revisit that this weekend." Seems like it went well, right?

Here's where it gets weird:

She went to Vegas and didn't tell me until the day before when I texted her and said "How's 6:30 tomorrow sound?" She made no effort to reschedule, so I froze her out for a couple weeks. We couldn't coordinate schedules before Christmas (mostly because of mine) so I said it would have to wait til after Christmas. She said "sure that's totally cool."

I hit her up after Christmas and wrote her something along the lines of "Man, I love Christmas and all but I'm so glad it's over and I don't have to play Christmas carols til next year. Haha"

No response. Did I do something wrong? And if this happens, should I hit her up again? This was about 2 weeks ago.

I'm no AFC, but this girl is cool and even though I've been doing decently with pickup it'd be nice to have a steady one around that I can take out to gigs and stuff.

Hey man, Its sucks aye when you dont get a reply lol. I dont have much advice to give you, but reading it. All you did was speak about yourself to be honest, you didnt ask her how her xmas was, or open her up with something including her. She has no reason to reply, because you didnt really include her in the convo. 2 weeks of no talking, may mean now that she could be getting over you. But no harm in trying once more, but include her in the conversation. If i hadnt heard from a chick in a fews day, xmas passed and then all i recieved from her was that message. I wouldnt reply either.

Your entire background story was irrelevant. It could've been summed up with "Why don't girls respond to text messages?" which is a common topic around these parts and has been answered many times. Do you really think a comment about christmas carols put her off? Give me a break.

The truth is that any girl who live in VEGAS of all places, and schmoozes with quasi-celeb-type musicians in L.A. is probably a girl who gets around, knows the game, and has a lot of options with men. Like I always say, you never know the reason she stopped texting you. A week after you last saw her she probably went out with her girlfriends to some lame bar, and some other pua in Vegas hit on her and picked her up. Now she is dating him and doesn't care about you anymore. This is how a lot of girls are, ESPECIALLY the L.A. and L.V. types!

and maybe, and I definitely apologize for the length, but if I would've summed it up like that, the first response I would've gotten would be "you weren't interesting enough, you weren't a challenge, no value," etc. The point of the back story was to show that I really didn't so anything wrong. I wanted to give you as much info as possible in case I fucked up.

I more wanted to know if I shouldn't have frozen her out. If I should have made a bigger effort to make plans, etc. Maybe she is like all the Vegas types but didn't strike me as such.

And no, I don't think a comment about Christmas songs put her off. I thought it was funny. That's why I was confused.

But thanks. I guess you're right. You never know the reason.

Looks like you handled things like a champ. When this shit happens, remember a lot of times it's because they have shit going on. She could be dating someone else or maybe she's getting over an ex or something else lame like that. Wouldn't over think it. I'd hit her up one more time in a month or two.

Honestly bro, she the type of girl you don't want anything to do with other than a fling.
Second, if she wanted you, she would have wrote back. She's not playing hard to get. She found someone else.
If she wants to talk to you, she'll text you don't text her again. You're making yourself look pathetic and that's last thing you need if you ever want to hear from her again.
When she breaks up with her current guy, she'll be on the prowl again and will hit you up. Take advantage, hit it one more time and never respond to her again.
That'll teach her to play the player ;)

This is great. Thanks for that. I just wanted to see if there were any flaws and if I was right in the freeze out. I'll hit her up when I get back from tour.

As for the whole "L.A. girls are scum and that's your problem" (because it's not the first or second time I've gotten that advice)... I mean I get it, but it's not helpful when I'm trying to work out kinks in my game. Let's understand that I didn't meet this chick on the red carpet. She was making $10/hr at the Five Hour Energy booth at a pool tournament in a rundown hotel a few miles from the strip---if you guys have never been to a pool tournament, it's basically a bunch of middle aged fat slugs who watch pool, drink beer, talk about hunting and chew tobacco with the 5 teeth they have left. Hardly glamorous. Only reason my celebrity buddy was there is because his mom was a pro pool player and we got in free. She didn't even have the balls to talk to him. L.A. bitches are easy to spot and filter out anyway.

I've lived in 4 cities. Women are difficult everywhere.
