| Post subject: | Waitress at bar |
Been reading and learning from this site for 2 months and this is my first post...me and 2 others, Addison and Aaron, goto a bar where they know the waitress. Aaron has already hooked up with her and I think has developed one-itis for her, but she doesn't want to date someone younger then her so things got weird between them. It was an off night and the bar wasn't too busy. She stopped by for small talk and my friends never introduced us, SO when we were leaving they say goodbye to her and she turns to me and says "it was nice meeting you". So I put my hand out there and ask for her name and gave her my name. I didn't take it too far, being we were on our way out and I knew we would see each other again. My question is, do I consider that an IOI? I know what to do when I see her next when she's not working, but what if its at the bar, what would be a good routine to run next time I see her at the bar? |

I've done pick up on women while they are working. Its really not any different running routines on them. You do the same type of stuff as you would anyone else, the only hitch is they are busier. They ask you if you want a drink and you go back to your story, make them work on your time. It could be an IOI but I would look for others. It could just be a hired gun trying to keep her good customer's too. I wouldn't think too much of it until she shows more. Although, you showed her an IOI asking for her name. |

I think your reading too much into it. An IOI? She knows your friends, she'll more than likely see you again, she's at work. I think that's the reasons she met you. That said it doesn't mean that there is no chance. You could try to pick her up next time you see her. A good indication is if your not with your two friends she knows, and she sees you. Will she remember? If she does you've at least made an impression. Assuming it's not the next day. Take it from there. |

next time you go to the bar, if she's working, and whether she remembers you or not, walk up to her and say...."damn woman, do you ever leave this place?" Even if she doesn't remember you, it's one helluva way to start a conversation. |

Yea, I think I am reading into it too much. Maybe she's just a really nice person, in which I need to turn it into my advantage. I like that one Rusty!! I'll definitely use that in the future! |
