There is a line I use ALL the time when I see a girl looking bored whether they,re staff in a clothes shop, bar, cafe whatever and it always gets a good response and opens up the conversation.

Me: (walking up to bored girl with a smile) "I saw you from way over there and I know EXACTLY what you're thinking!"

Girl: (smiling) "Really? What's that then?"

Me: (completely dead pan) "Kill me".

At this point the girl will start laughing and then you can move on to how boring her job is how you had an even more boring job, what does she do when she's not bored out pf her skull yadda yadda yadda!

It works (for me) every time! Try it tomorrow...I'd like to hear back if it worked for you too. ;-)

They call me Hitman.

I like it, but the death/murder thing can sometimes come across as alarming if a stranger says it. But to be fair, she's working in a store, so it's a little different than a cold approach on the street.

Btw, how do you follow that up?

Ok, well here is the last time I used this which was on Friday last week at my work Xmas party.

We all went to a hotel for a meal and ended up in a massive hall that had about 200 people (other companies were there holding their xmas parties there too). Before food was served the vast majority of people were sitting / milling around. I was bored at my table as I was sitting with the directors so I got up to walk around.

I saw a waitress standing on her own looking bored, I said my line and she strated laughing immediately and from memory said something like "can you tell?" I was like, "yeah and I feel the same as you, I'm sitting with the directors!" (more laughter), I asked her what time she was there until (10pm) and I said that she would be swinging from the rafters by then. I asked her if the place got lively at all later on and she was like "errrrr...no!" (more laughter) then she said, "escape while you still can!". I then had to go as the food was being served at our table.

While I was eating though I caught her eye a few times as she walked around serving the various tables (she was one of about 20 waitresses / waiters in this venue) and we just smiled at each other as we both had that connection from before.

After the meal, there was a dance and all the tables got moved and everyone got on the dance floor..I went looking for her (to aim to get her number) but I couldn't find her (she had probaly left). If I knew I wouldn't see her again, i would've asked to keep in touch earlier but I thought I had more time than I had unfortunately.

It was such an easy way to get into a conversation though and I do it all the time! Sometimes not even to pull but to get them to laugh (I used to work in a supermarket - a crap one at that so I know all about boredom in the workplace).

There you go.

This is a pretty solid opener, I think it can be applied to basically any girl that looks bored, even outside the work place.

Wicked opener man. If i was to use it (which im ccertainly going to do) id change it from her thinking "kill me now" to "whens my break" or something along those lines. But this is a great short opener and im deffo going to test it out!
