Post subject:  Question regarding the cheating opener

I am using people I know to practice my openers on. I tried it on my female roommate. She gave me the usual small talk and I changed the convo to if kissing someone is considered cheating. I am able to drive the conversation, and it seemed like I kept using that thread throughout the conversation. Yes I managed to digress to the kinky nature of woman and she admitted to being tied up. She even went on to say that she would strip, she would .... I tried to demonstrate HV by saying something like "what are you offering?' on hind sight I feel I should have said "im flattered but no thanks."

I would like to know if when I use this in a real set how long you weave the thread for. I can talk about any issue for a long time and keep things rather interesting. I think in real life I would be able to use this opener and turn it into a conversation, but what other elements do I introduce. How else could I demonstrate HV and how can I show some level of interest.

I have no interest of picking up my roommate just using her to work on my game.

I think i milked the opener way to much. err to much reading to do now

The opener is used to simply open a set. Then you have to hook them with something interesting so you can then number close, k close, whatever close. So while its good you can go on for days with an opener, the opener is used just to get the set talking to you so you can DHV and ultimately get a good close.

The schedule should be as follows right

Opener
Time constraint
DHV
Negs
Close

What are some ideas for DHVs other then cold reads? I know this has probably been asked before so if you could give a link, i would really find that helpful.

I disagree. I'd open, time constraint, neg. You're pretty much DHVing with personality. All you want to do is reach the social hookpoint so you can move on to A2. But it's a little more complex then just those 5 topics.

it varies from person to persson and situation to situation, some people like to time constraint as part of the opener, if ur target is loud during ur opener then neg rite away then carry on with it, no need to wait, what im trying to say is just make sure u do it all at somepoint.
btw beyondevil its always a good idea to qoulify at least before #close !
