| Post subject: | Learning-Approaching/Opening/... |
I was out sarging in Camden on Saturday night, and when out with the intention of number closing every set i come across. I don't mind saying that I do ok, but the reason I’m re-learning everything is that I want to be great...I want to be able to open the difficult sets and take the women that I want. what i found is that it was so difficult to remember everything in a set I was all over the place, and in the end i didn't get the material out that i wanted to because it wasn't intuitive and couldn't bloody remember most of it.. I think i know the answer to my own question.. but at this point in my development I think I should be concentrating on (1) Opening, lots of different sets, in different situations, and different contexts. (2) figure out the openers that are going to work for me and learn them/adapt them to me. The thing that i've found is that reading an opener is so far removed from actually performing it, sometimes you don't realise that the routine just isn’t you, until in the situation to use it and then it's too late I'm going to figure out some openers for some main sets and try them out, do the same with some other early parts of the Routine and then, bail on the set and try it again on another. I think this is the only way i'll be able to figure out which one work and which one don't. At the moment i'll use an opener and, maybe neg/value/ and then fluff and forget the rest of what i was planning on doing....N'mare...my head's spinning. hopefully this is the process that we've all got to go through to make this work!! would appreciate any advice..
