Ok so heres my deal... I work for my school in technical services dept. and every so often we need to purchase things from the campus computer store. Every time i go down there, there is this HB7 that catches my eye. I dont know what to say to her (I'm not gunna be like, uhhh hows this Dell Laptop running?) ha ha, ya know?

I need to think of something witty to grab her attention but I'm seriously drawing a blank on a good opener and not to mention a story to keep her interested in myself.

If anyone can save me from my own dilemma or has any suggestions please feel free to help a newb out! Thanks!

Try out my myspace opinion opener. Basically, "Let me get your perspective on something...I can only stay for a second...Would you date anyone you met on myspace? The reason I ask is my long time friend (girl's name) met a guy on there and they seem to like each other.

NO- Where is your sense of romance and adventure?

YES- You'd meet someone who hardly know, what if something bad happens to her like if she's abducted by aliens or something?

FROM ONE IT GUY THAT WORKS FOR THE COMPANY YOU MENTIONED ABOVE TO ANOTHER! :wink:

Went in there today with a buddy i worked with cuz i had told him about the chick so he was all like "lets go see!"

As I walked in I gave then the smile and said hey and looked around the store for a little bit. After walking, i approached the counter where she was and i completely froze on my opener. So i resorted to...

ME: "Busy day today"

HB: "haha, not at all actually"

ME: "oh well thats always a fun"

HB: "Oh not really, we are quite bored"

ME: "well gotta get goin, cya"

HB: "Bye. have a good one!"


I FROZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha ah man, you had it, the opener doesn't matter much just as long as you get into the conversation thats the main purpose of it, these are things your probably already know but when she said she was bored, you could have been like, "is it like that every day here?", "well, what do you do for fun?", a question like that can be a turning point and turn a dull conversation into something interesting that becomes more personal

If you have a wing there like your friend I've found thats the easiest way at the begining to overcome approach anxiety. Whenever me and my wing go out and one of us is reluctant you use your wing to talk you up. Your usually also more natural when youve got a friend backing you up.

dude she was practically begging you to talk to her I know I say that when I'm bored she probably creamed her pants as she thought you were going to pick her up next time

MP: I got only a minuete (insert jsmooths opener or other opener if desired.)

hb: Oh no really were are quite bored"
me: dont you wish you could get out of hereif so whered you go
hb: bar, club, coffee
me: allright next time we'll go together (exchange email)
