Last night, a friend of mine and I went out and shot the shit with a bunch of girls. After the bar closed, we went outside to have a smoke when two girls approached us for a cig. After chatting them up for about five minutes, my friend asked one of them if she wanted to go back and abar with us. She was down. Her friend, who I had been flirting with a bit, seemed a little drunk. WHen I asked her to come abar, she smiled at me and held eye contact for probably five or six seconds. She did not actual say a word but instead turned around. During eye contact, I was staring at her waiting for an answer, looking neither happy nor angry, just kinda neutral with maybe a small hint of a smile. We ended up just taking a cab back because the girls kinda just walked off. Any idea what happened? Extra info-one of the girls was visiting from out of town, the girl I was going after lived a block away. |

Nothing happened, because you were not leading in this situation. You were waiting for her to take initiative while actually she was waiting for you to do that. This happens a lot myself too! I hate it! |

so u would lead by saying something like: let's go back and abar instead of asking? and when she stared back at me forever what would you do? shit's confusing. also should i have been smiling more or was that fine? |

Eye contact like that, and especially that long, is a very strong IOI. You should have totally just grabbed her under your arm and led her to another bar. A relaxed look right into her eyes is actually even better than smiling back at her in that situation. |
