Post subject:  How to become popular in freshman highschool THOUGHTS AND IS
Alright, so next year, or next month I should say, is my first day of highschool. My question Is, what makes the best first impression? What qualities make people attracted to you? I.e. ladies man, etc. WORKING CONVERSATION STARTERS THAT AREN'T CORNY. COCKY, OR CHEESY. Based on your experience, what works best? I know I know. This is a pickup forum, but it'll be easier for me to get girls if I'm popular. :) Anyway a little background,
I'm asian but I came to Canada when I was 3 so English is pretty much my main language.
I was popular in middle school, had a lot of friends but I'm nervous because I barely know any friends in my new hs so I'll have to start from 0.
Please, don't post "just be a jock, get into fights a lot." because I don't want a jock reputation. Right now I'm a semi-confident fun unpredictable above average looking FUNNY(Oh, very funny)guy. But my voice... Oh god. I FLING HATE MY VOICE BECAUSE IT SOUNDS So BORING SOMETIMES!
Anyway, thoughts and ideas, tips and tricks?

okay so first off it sounds like you need to build your confidence up.

Right now your weaker inner game will show and women(girls) will pick up on it.
You have to act like you are the star of the show in high school and really believe that. Be confident, and start talking to good looking girls around your school to raise your value.

You won't raise your value by just following some rules. In high school your value is based on what girls like you, and who all knows you. The reason i know this is because i just graduated a few years ago. So i know.

So if you want to become popular start working on your confidence, maybe try dressing better or different, make a statement. Start meeting girls around your school, and guys.

Adding to what Slugger said, be fun don't try act hard it don't get you
anywhere, joke around with girls, play games be interesting, have a party
or a trip to whatever (cinema ice skating) and invite the girls but don't
focus everything on girls you'll still need some good buddies to be your
wing or help you out whenever you need, and be loyal to your friends
and don't gossip and chat shit behind peoples back, be trustworthy and
everything will be good, and have fun just enjoy yourself.

I know, being a try hard is one of my strict no-nos on my list so no worries. I'm nervous about HOW to get girls to like you, and HOW to start talking to good looking girls without the awkward moments when my mind goes blank and say something really corny. So to start, could you tell me some good working conversation starters? :P

sup dude, im a freshman too.
in your classes, or during oritentation, whatever, strategically place yourself near pretty girls if you can and not assigned seats. just crack jokes about the class, speaker, topic, etc to them and keep doing so until they be friendly to you. do in all your classes. if you can, try to do so to guys who seem in the crowd with the hot girls. since you are at a fresh start, be as funny as you can with that crowd, u know what i mean.

and also, get super awesome hair because you are asian and you can rock any kind of hair you want! us white guys we'd be called tryhards etc if we had a mohawk or 'biebs' hair, but asians can do whatever hair they want or wear whatever, you'll just look super awesome. you guys are bosses.

remember to show you are as confident as you can, lean back in class when talking to a girl, dont point your body to her, she has to earn that, look over the shoulder if shes behind you and dont come up if shes infront.

use fb to your advantage. friend the whole school, and slowly wedge your way into the 'cool crowd' whatever by being funny on statuses or sharing funny pictures, get close friends who are in that crowd because your social circle is where you game the most in hs, and dont be shy to hit on oldergirls.
dont overneg, and don't forget that older girls are fair game.

How to talk to girls? Just do it, bring up what your mind tells you. If you really can't anything, just use compliments or canned openers. Approach women and once you did that enough, you will just say something and afterwards think: what the hell did i say when i met her? That way u will behave the most natural and won't be a try hard.

Play the first day right and, even if you mess up for weeks, you'll still be popular.

Be confident in meeting people. On day 1, introduce yourself to people. "Hey guys, have you found out where the best places are to party around here?" etc

Learn names. If you know names, you can direct the conversation. If you're cool and demonstrate that you know the less popular people's names, they will look up to you.

Be wary of getting stuck in one group. Walking into a room and having several groups of people to hang out with is awesome.

Perhaps one for later in life, but a great ability to have: work out quickly who can take shit and who can't. Deflect mocking away from the kids who can't handle it onto those who need some more*.

*As was said above; not behind people's backs though.

Aha great advice, it's true, asians do look better with spiked hair. I'm not one of those stereotypical asians, since I came to Canada when I was 3 (I'm almost 14 now) so I'm basicly Canadian. I liked that you mentioned fb, because it works very well with me when I post funny comments etc. One question though, I don't know many hot girls going to my new highschool, so for the guys who DO know the hot girls, I'll be at a disadvantage. :P I know that I'll come around eventually, but I want to make the most out of my first day. Even though I barely know anybody, I still want to be known as "the guy" at the first day. The problem is, I know there'll be lot of guys that are just going to be popular to the girls just because of their looks/previous status. Even though I'm one of the very good looking asians (I also work out) I know a lot of girls that wouldn't even consider a guy just because he's not white. So... how do I get around this?

A little tid bit...
For the love of god, if your funny....be freaking funny! Be that guy that teases the hot girl without fear, that cracks the class up, that everyone can't wait to here what there gonna say next. It makes you the center of attention and making a girl smile will make her 10 times more open and receptive to you. So please... stick to your strengths!
One other thing... if a girl doesn't like you because your not white, shes probably a girl your gonna be wasting time on... there are plenty of girls that don't care what race you are, why go after the ones that do??
One last thing... don't focus on being a PUA in highschool, the PU openers, tactics, all designed for chicks your not suppose to see again. Be careful, if you screw up a few times, people will start talking about you, and not in a good way

Ah, high school. Where every social mistake you make stays with you until you graduate. All the girls talk to each other about the guys. So any PUA technique that can backfire can really mess you up.

At first, just be lightly friendly towards girls. Don't make female enemies. Try to figure out the social structure of the school. Women are into that, so find at least one girl who will chat about what the groups are, who's who, and what's going on socially. Then you can plan.

In the high school the most important thing based on my experience is to be friend with as much as you can people. You won't get the girls from the first day, so just try to be friendly to anyone. When you have a lot of friends, you will get invited to partys, you will have more social value and you will have the chance to get more girls. So at the beggining just do the normal stuff and try to meet new people from the school all the time. I made the mistake not to be that guy and the first 3 years from my hs were really not that good, so you just have to do this:

1. Meet new people
2. Be confident not shy
3. Don't try to be some other guy, just be yourself
4. Smile and be friendly

Take it from a guy that started out with 3 friends in freshman year.

Get into a sport or an after school activity, you'll pretty much be friends with everyone in the group. The more activities the better.

Never be scared to say "hey" if you've been put together for a group assignment.

Always go to any parties, get togethers, etc. Even if you don't feel like you'll know anyone, take someone with you that you know.

Smile, sit up right, be fun and be confident.


Don't worry about being a PUA with girls, you're just making friends! Enjoy highschool while you're in it. Cause once you're out, you'll miss it.
