Post subject:  Approaching when you think you already have solid IOIs?

This seems to happen to me a bit. I would be out somewhere, and would be getting, what I perceive to be, IOI's from a chick across the room. So...you think she likes you and there is a chemistry there from the excitement of exchanging glances. What is the best way to open here? A regular opener won't do, because it's gone slightly beyond that. Usually I'd go up and just say 'whats your name?', which is so AFC. Then it's the usual fluffing of 'where are you from', 'what do you do?' ugh...i hate it! Also, I dont think a neg would work well here, because there is the common attraction and you want to keep it on that level rather than giving her a reason to doubt your on the same wavelength.

Help appreciated

I was wondering the same thing, thanks to my appearance / style, I get lots of IOIs, but no usual openers would seem to work - you can't open another person in the group, she already knows there's something going on from the exchange of your looks.

Like ... she's there, you're here. She looks, you look. You smile. She smiles back ... so you know it's on. What to do ?

Walk up, confidently say hi...then start your DHV's.

Or if you feel you must open...

YOU: "Hey, are you shy?"

HER: "NO, YES, KINDA, MAYBE, blah blah."

YOU: "O, because ive been standing over there (with my friends) for five mins now and you havent said hi."

Now DHV.

If shes with friends, neg her for not introducing you, then work on obsticles.

Or if you wana be C&F, walk over and tell her to stop stareing or you'll have to fight her.

YOU: "Hey you better stop stareing at me or we are gonna have to throw down/fight."(said funny, maybe with ur fists up like old school 1800's boxing)

HER: "blah blah"(most likely some kinda 'i can take u' come back)

You: "Hey nm, your kinda scarry..."

(start to walk away, maybe just rock back on your leg and semi turn)

YOU: "Actually i need your opinion on something, but i gotta get back to my friends soon...."

(insert opener)

Then DHV, set another FTC if you want...run the set.

Some good advice there thanks. I like the 'so aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?' approach. D'you think it'd be good then to turn my back to the target a bit and try make as much conversation with the friends as possible? ie, ask them where they are from, what they do...get the fluffing over and done with with the friends, and in the mean time make the target uncertain as to why you seem to be hitting on her friends instead of her ("did he just use me so he could talk to them?") kinda thing. Or would this be doing unnecessary games since you were both certain you like eachother?
