Okay, so after a lot of thinking about direct and indirect I came up with a good one.
Direct practically throws you in the hands of the girl, in which the challenge is immediatly taken from her. Not good.
Indirect is just showing that you are afraid to say why you REALLY want to talk to her. Not good.
So where is the balance?
Right here:
G: "Hi, I just wanted to say that you look like a really sweet girl, (so I thought: let's find out / and I love sweet girls)"
And ofcourse from there you could say: "Aww, and that finishes it: look at those cute handgloves blabla."
The girl will have a cute feeling, because you're genuinely nice and you're not only after her looks.
She has to be NICE! So a bit of qualifying automatically implemented.
Well, it hasn't been field tested yet, so you guys do your thing while I'm heading towards (my first time!) the college library. They say it's heaven.
You can wish me luck, but I won't need it.
