Post subject:  Hired Gun Opener
I'm always going places, either running errands or doing things that need to be done. And as you can imagine when I spend most of my time at stores and etc. I come in contact with these pretty girls, that work at the register. And there's not really much you can say to them because their in a rush and you hardly got time.

So what's a good way to game them? I came up with this Line that I think may be conducive, "Hey, How's it going? Working Hard or Hardly Working? Haha!" It kinda works as a Neg, but be free to use that line. But anyways, what's a good way to play this position?

Here's what I do, though it's more of an opener than anything else: I'll walk up to the register and the cashier girl will be in her usual zombie mode, just going through the motions saying something like, "How are you today?" I'll say "I'm okay. How about you?" She replies "I'm fine." Then I say "Really? Even though you're working?"

You will be surpised how often that last line breaks them out of their zombie mode! They will almost always smile and chat you up about something.

That's a good one. I've done it several times at the groceries' store. It's like you wake them up.

I like to ask Bartenders/servers, etc : "Hey, I was just talking with my friend (female friend's name), and we were wondering, who gets hit on more, female bartenders or strippers?"

The OP was mainly referring to cashiers at stores and likely daytime locations. Read more carefully next time. :roll:

I think from experience, if there is a big line of other people waiting to be served then you are a bit screwed, but if not something like (especially at this time of year) "I can definately tell you will be getting (such-and-such present) for your folks", or a topic along those lines. Try that as an ice breaker - certainly at clothes stores, department stores or even cafes.
