Something that I am noticing a lot in the community as of late is a lot of guys running around opening tons of sets...and that's it! I see guys on the forums, in the lairs, or even out bragging about how many sets they opened or what opener they used this time.

Guys, it's great you're not sitting here on the forum all day and you are out there trying to get the girl and learning how to open sets. With that being said, stay in the set until you absolutely have to leave, and learn how to go further.

It's obvious there is a lot of guys in the community that are good at opening. Great you are one step into a long process to get the girl. That's like saying I quit smoking 10 minutes ago. Sure making the decision to approach is important but the follow through, staying in set, and getting the damn girl is what matters!

Don't become one of these guys that spoils an entire room using opening lines all night because you dont' have the balls to stay in the set, be a little uncomfortable, fight through your mistakes, and working to get the girl.

I agree with you on that, I open alot of sets, but I also stay in them until I close or get rejected or see its going nowhere. Opening is fun and you can be creative but its only a small part of the game. Its like playing guitar but only strumming, sure it can be ravagingly fun but you wont be playing anything right ?

On the other hand, if you see your set is going nowhere, the girl isnt rejecting you but she's not giving you IOI's and obviously isnt interested, you dont need to stay in, your wasting both your and her times. Just leave with a nice, it was nice meeting you and smile.

Either way, the fun thing about staying in a set is that the more you do it, the better you get at not controlling your emotions, but learn to deal with them and not let them show. So to all you approachers, good thing you did that, but now youve got to work on the other steps to round up your game the best you can ;)
