PUA Forum :: IMPOSSIBLE to remember NAMES!

Yes I forget names so much. It has ruined sets before, surprisingly it isn't the girls but an amog or some guy that takes it too hard and then sees me talk to a girl and gets all but hurt over it. I imagine it would be just as bad for a girl. I don't think it's ever good, but since I am in the habit of meeting so many new people now it definitely has become harder. Anyways there is a trick for remembering a persons name that I learned as a routine but it works, I just have to remember to use it more, make a habit out of it. So it goes you put a picture of something behind the persons head, lets say the girls name is Suzzy, then you you put a sun behind her head or whatever works for you, use your imagination, as long as it starts with the same letter as her name. That makes it easier. Then say in your head suzy the sun while visualizing the picture as you look at her. It works pretty well, especially if you can always remember their face but not their name, which is always the case for me. And it also works well as a routine if you teach it to someone, just make sure you don't have them try to remember your name. Then it comes off as a little try hard and can become a DLV.

Dude, in my opinion its an unimportant detail. PUA's don't give a shit about the girl, we are always putting them on a pedestal. PUA's are supposed to be the exception to the rule! AFC will care about what the women is thinking, PUA's don't need to, they make the rules! Fact: Chix like Jerks.
Of course once rapport is made, and you have a good connection with the lady, remember her name, and use it! lol

You have a point my man! But you're overdramatizing the situation. The girl will not "feel like shit" as you said unless you are awkward when you reask her lool. Just act normal.

And BTW, Forgetting a name is not AFC! It's just stuff man do, it's how you deal with it, that makes you AFC or a T_Rex!

Hey do you guys have trouble remembering the names of a girl after you approach? I don't know why I just always always always forget lol.. I always have to re-ask her name and I don't know that's kind of a DLV.. do you guys have the same problem??

Hey man, you don't really need to know her name. If you do it's alright, but if you don't, its always fun to be giving nicknames to people, for example...you helped a HB use the printer at school...you will now call her Printer Girl! But don't use it to much, variate names...it could get annoying. And anyways, asking a girl "what was your name again?" is GOOD. It's makes you preselected (like you don't really have time to remember that chix name, cuz you know like a thousand). Yeah, so names, not so important, call her something cocky funny! like i don't know.."hey bumblebee" looool

Forgetting their name can be a type of neg shows you're not too keen. When you learn it the second time make sure to use it, people love the sound of their name.

Good advice.. I'll definitely try your technique. Me too I think it's big DLV when you don't remember the name of a girl, because girls like it when you remember small details about them.. and a lot of guys have trouble with remembering names..i think girls must be annoyed by this same question over and over again of: What is your name already? If you remember what her name is, at least she knows you're paying attention to what she's saying.. and I think that's really important!!

If you want you can give a damn about what she thinks, but when you present yourself to someone, you will get annoyed if that person always re-asks your name.. like dude it's one word to remember it's not that hard. I agree that it's not really bad if you forget it one time.. but to me it just happens to each set and even if it can be used as a neg, I really do believe girls love it when you remember their name. Sometimes, they ask like: Hey I bet you don't even remember my name (Because of the frequently AFC guys who always forget).. and when you tell her.. she will really like it. It means you're a good listener (DHV in the eyes of women in the body language book I read) and you're paying attention to her. Which is really not bad, you don't have to always neg and not care about your targets (in my opinion). As the guy above me said, he had sets ruined because of this, and from field experience, I really think it's DLV. But I have to describe a detail!! What you should say when she says her name for the first time.. even if you heard it.. say: Wait, what? What's your name again? Now that I think it's perfect neg, well said. But!!! If she tells you her name and you say ok I'm Richard for example and build rapport for 15min and than you ask her.. Umm.. what's your name again? That, I don't think it's good! She's going to feel like shit, because I would feel like shit if someone would ask me that question after 15min of rapport and comfort building!

You don't have to know a person's name to have a good interaction with them. There have been a number of times where I didn't get her name until I looked at it after she's put her number in my phone. Then I'll usually comment on her name. That said, sometimes women will test you by asking you if you know what her name is and it will obviously wreck things if you have no idea. After all, I can't be bothered to remember every woman's name before I know if I'm interested.

When you go for the # tell her to put her name in your phone with the number. Or when you're putting the # in ask her how she spells her name. Also, when you first meet her repeat the name back to her. If there's a girl in the group with an unusual name you can jokingly blame her for making you forget everyone else's name because it took so much effort to remember hers. Try to remember it but don't put too much weight on it. Its not that big of a deal. If anything, just focus on remembering your targets name and don't bother with the others. Nicknames are great too. For example, if a girl is really short you can call her "Tallie" or something like that.
